Oceanic — Hotel in Maharashtra

I had been here for 1 night and following is my view about this place. (FOR FOOD IN DIVEAGAR READ MY COMMENTS LAST PARAGRAPH)

The GOOD -

1. Very well maintained rooms.
2. Clean sheets and comfy matress.
3. Cooperative caretaker. Always available at just 1 call.
4. Easy to find as it is just near Shivaji Chowk.
5. Sufficient parking for 4 cars as 4 rooms are available.
6. 10mins walk to beach.

The BAD -

1. This place doesnt have a garden. The moment you step out of room, u land in parking and the road is just 10ft away. So all in all, if you wish to sitout in a garden for lunch/dinner/family time, go elsewhere.
2. Food. Well this is subjective and I won't say that the food the caretaker cooked was bad, but did not met my expectations. The fish pieces were too small, the bangda was full of oil. But she compensated by giving us discount on the rates even without us complaining.

FOOD IN DIVEAGAR - During my 2 days visit to diveagar, i had my food at following places and will list them as per higest rating ;

1. Sawali hotel (you wont find it on map. Its on hanuman pakhadi road. ) The best food i had , be it veg or nonveg. Even breakfast was too good. But mind it u will have to bargain here as they tell the rate as per their wish.
2. Swayam Patil khanawal - a very famous food joint and some real authentic taste. Recommended for fish only 3 ) Bapat khanaval - a vegetarian delite. Do have their ukadi modak. Its just just just so...

I booked this place after reading reviews and all of them were true. We had a fantastic stay at ocenic. All facilities and people are nice. We got the room exchanged immediately after check in . they provided the choices among available rooms. At first day we didnot got the route to yhe beach which is walking, so we went by our car. But next morning we discoved the shortest route which was very pleasant and refreshing to walk, and yes as tild by everyone, very close to the beach. The careraker who provides the food was out for some emergency reason. So morning and evening tea and snacks were not available. But many food choices are available withing 50 steps out of the bunglow. Rooms were very neat and clean. Caretaker lady was helping nature. She didnot rush at all while we were leaving. So we were not pressurised while leaving and left happily. Tv of one room was not working. But on a holiday who see Tv right? For us , my 4 years kid and our elders missed tv a bit. But as we have two rooms, all gathered in one and it got sorted.. overaĺl we enjoyed our stay very much. And we look forward to go next...

Pros||====||Nice Village Location if you want to stay away from City||||It is not a hotel actually it is a Homestay type.||||Sea beach is near by where you can enjoy a lot. Beach is not crowded so you will feel it is your private beach :)||||Caretaker aunty is good and supportive. ||||Food is a little bit costly but tasty. It is Maharashtrian food actually.||||3 vehicles can be parked in front of the homestay||||We(me,my spouse and two kids) were in a serious problem while we visited because my vehicle was broke down at divegar. But the owner Mr.Amit was very supportive and he allowed me to stay beyond the check out time without any extra charges. Thanks for that Mr.Amit.||||CONS||======||No drinking water at the Homestay. You need to depend on the caretaker.||||If you afraid of forest and darkness this is not definitely a place for you as this homestay is surrounded by coconut and beetle nut trees.||||You need to take all things with you before travelling as no shops are there near to this.||||However if you enjoy village life you can try it for 1 or 2...
