This weekend we planned for a family outing and let me be honest that Dahanu was definitely not in our maps. With no available rooms in Kelwa, we settled for Dahanu.||Then began our search for a decent place and with the budget constraints we settled for the Pearline Beach Resort.||We had booked 2 rooms, one their basic room and one the upgrade room. ||We I must admit we were a bit sceptical about the arrangement. However when we reached the place, at the first look of it we liked Dahanu and the beach and of course the resort right opposite to the beach. However the rooms are placed quite inside and non of the rooms offered any sea view. We took the premium room which had a spacious balcony and was pool facing. Though the price of the two categories were only Rs.400/-, there was heaven and hell difference. The base room was very cramped for space and a old generation TV perched at a height. And in fact we could spot a few cockroaches. On the contrary, the premium room was quite spacious with 3 beds, dining table etc. The room was well maintained and quite clean. However the washroom was pretty bad. It was very cramped with the fittings being very old and no exhaust fan. It seriously needs and upgrade. But basic amenities like running hot and cold water was there. The room was very badly lit and the washroom was no different either.||The swimming pool was decent and maintained but depth warnings were not there. In fact we saw one accident happening in front of us when a kid was almost drowning. However the attendant of the pool was first to react to avoid any disaster.||The best part of the resort is there restaurant, Crazy Crab. It’s a non-veg Paradise specially with liking for sea food.|We tried both North Indian fare and also the sea food. I must say I had the best crab preparation I ever had in my life. The kebabs and tandoori items were pretty ordinary and so was the paneer. They also have a well stocked bar and some good cocktails. However we were surprised to|see a sharp drop in service in the evening, with cockroach coming out of the sauce box, too much of mosquitos and nobody to take care of that, missing orders etc.||However the biggest disappointment was breakfast. I generally look forward to the breakfast but I must say this was really bad, with only poha, idly, missal Pav and bread as options and when we asked for the bread to be toasted we were bluntly denied. Even in case of eggs they had only omelette and that too not made live in front of us. Tea and coffee was worst I ever had.||Overall a nice experience with good pool and...

This can turn into such an amazing property with some serious overhaul of the place with renovation and upgrade in services. Of course, currently it is in shambles and he cannot care less. I went there with a bunch of my cousins for 1 night with 0 expectations and still they managed to disappoint me. The only good thing about their dingy chawl-like rooms was the AC that was thankfully functioning. Rest was all ram bharose and no one bothers to listen to you. The pool is a cesspool of diseases with dirt grime and moss on the floor and of course the crowd was equally bad who couldn't care less if they were bathing in this mess. That is another problem with such places - people who visit it are so dumb and uncaring about basic hygiene that they help such places thrive just like the germs and mosquitoes in them. My blood is boiling at the sheer waste of space that the owner of this place is and he should really be given a sound lesson and taught how to run a resort if you can call this one a resort. Morning breakfast was alright but the evening dinner coupons policy is useless because you are now bound to eat at that sea food place teeming with dirty lobsters in plain sight and hours of waiting as you have no other option. That is another undoing of this idiotic place that needs to be adopted by someone who can run it like a decent resort who can ensure that the poor staff is not exploited and grossly underpaid because the charges of this place are quite competitive. ||||Net net, the only 3 decent aspects about our stay was the location, morning breakfast was decent and the AC...
