Crazy Crab Restaurant And Bar — Restaurant in Maharashtra

Had heard about this restaurant from a few people and sid google check as well. This is one of its kind restaurant near bordi(the restaurant has now shifted closer to start of Dhanau bwach) Really dong understand the 4 or 5 star ratings, we visited on saturday noon time between 12:40 and 15:00 (time which we could have utilised some place else) and hoped for good tasty food and service and to our surprise it was bang opposite of that. Also the restaurant seems to be under staffed to handle influx of people on weekend and tbis leads to long waiting time which is not something that customer would want

Our experience: We were group of 8 people and

ordered veg platter for 3 people (the mushroom was really bad continiously oozing liquid) and cheese corn tikis(no salt) alongwith jeera rice (which never came though it was added in bill and then removed) and dal tadka (if this is dal tadka then i am really sorry to say the cook doesnt know how to make dal tadka, bland dal with no salt and no taste od tadka)

Alongwith non veg order of chicken tikka (was cooked well), prawns rawa fry (prawns were so hard that it had to be bitten really hard to chew and had a black line running all through the spine of prawns, dont think it was even cleaned properly), pompfret medium was avg cooked and masala coat was not that good, basa tawa fry was ok alongwith chicken noodles and chicken fried rice (i mean a road side vendor cooks better chinese dish than this restaurant and restaurant expects user to pay for shezwan chutney, this is the first time i have come across a restaurant who charges you for chutney)

Mocktails were really avg in taste, for the cost quantity was really bad. Long ice tea didnt have any taste, nor did the grasshopper

Masala papad: who gives masala papad without salt, amchur or chat masala. The masala papad we ordered only had onion and tomato ans nothing else. Really bad taste wise

Overall no taste in the food Very bad service, the waitors have some sort of attitude they carry and it feels like we are thier mercy. Not sure of tbe reason. We asked the waitor to repeat the order and he said "leke hi aata hoon aapka order" Very unhygenic handling of the restaurant Really long wait hours betweem food order and servicing

Cost of crabs is just way too high for a seaside restaurant

In case someone mentions that you get direct view of ocean, you will be fooled. Lot of trees block the view completely

Really pathetic experience for an unnecessary overhyped place in...

One of the most pathetic and highly disappointing behaviour by the staff which ruined the day we stayed.

Me and my 5 friends stayed at sea creast resort on 25th & 26th June 2022. Till evening everything was fine. We went for dinner around 9.30 pm and it was Saturday, the manager at crazy crabs restaurant recommended that the food will get delivered at room within 20 mins or we have to wait for 1 hour for dining. We ordered our food by 10 pm staying at room. After 40 mins the food was not delivered. We called 2-3 times and they said the food is ready and it has left the restaurant. It was 11.30 pm still we didn't get the food. On our 5th call they disconnected. The restaurant and the kitchen was closed when we reached to check our food.

The manager took the order but the staff forget to give the order inside kitchen. We had no food to eat. When we asked them they said "SORRY". We were expecting some solution but instead the staff started to argue and were lying to us. One of the staff said "Do you want the food or should I cancel it". The second manager said "Please understand the situation it was Saturday and there was rush and lots of other people were in queue" Does this mean we were not important and on top of that we were staying at the resort.

It was 12 am we didn't get any solution. We had ordered Veg Platter, Chicken Dum Biryani, Chicken Chilly Garlic Noodles, Chicken Shanghai Noodles. The platter - veg, chicken and seafood is famous here as we saw the review. We saw pasterie and while ordering we called them they said all the pasterie got over but when we reached they had few left

The manager who took our order bought chicken dum biryani and some kind of noodles. I am attaching the pics. The biryani was not biryani, it was left over chicken mixed with some rice. The noodles were all broken and both the dishes tasted same. We could not eat that food. It was so tasteless and bland. They gave food showing that they were doing a favor on us.

This is the second time I visited, the first time was good and keeping the hope I visited with my friends but it is highly disappointing that such a pathetic and worst treatment. Totally unfair and gender discrimination by staff toward me and my friends.

The place is easily noticeable from the road. Their logo is very creative too which I like. The layout is spacious for large crowd. Tables are large enough. Good Ambiance.

We ordered three dishes here:

1. Dal khichdi: This looks very appetizing in the vessel that is brought in. You can't decipher that is has rice in it though until you serve it in a plate. The quantity is less to be honest. Less for even 1 person unless you like your portions to be small. The taste was very good, except for a little bit of overly burnt garlic in it (I guess). The good taste didn't help the fact that the quantity was less at all. Price wise it's okayish. Rating: 3.5/5 (minus 0.5 for the quantity served) :P

2. Chicken fried rice: This came in a sufficient quantity. The rice was well cooked and chicken was juicy enough. Although I would have liked them to serve an omlette over it for the quoted price. Tasted nice. Loved it. Rating: 4/5

3. Chicken noodle soup: This looked like it was prepared in a hurry. And it was actually served within 10 minutes of ordering. The soup lacked enough salt. I must mention that I don't like food to be salty but this one lacked it to be very noticeable. Adding salt and half tea-spoonful of black pepper actually made it taste a lot better than it was initially served. Quanity was good for 2 people. Rating: 3.5/5

Rated 5 for the hotel as the service was good, food above average, ambiance very relaxing. If you order sea-food which is their speciality then may be I think you'll greatly love their food. We only needed something light hence didn't order their specialities.

Will come back to taste those...
