I've been visiting Tadoba regularly since 2010. I have seen various resorts and homestays evolving around Tadoba - Maharani Range since last decade and I am really happy to stay at the Sanctuary Tadoba.
I visited this property with a group, mainly families, friends with kids. Stayed for two nights.
Location : Near Moharli Gate The Resort is at some distance from Moharli Safari Main gate and on the way to Moharli village from Nagpur (via Shegaon). Pick up and drop by Safari jeeps is manageable.
Resort and Rooms : Very nicely designed and constructed twin cottages. Terrace area for all cottages. Attention to small details like ramp was provided for all cottages, to help the elderly or persons who required wheel chair assistance. Sufficient place in varahanda. Spacious rooms with a third separate bed, in all cottages I have seen. Good size and well maintained swimming pool. Ample of open space within resort premises, well maintained lawn and lots of trees. Machaan is an excellent area to observe birds, and spend some quiet time. Spacious dining area. Various options for kids and guests for recreational and sports activities. Special loft created on the backside of each cottage is a really nice concept. I liked it. Room interior is neatly done.
Food : Food is really good. This side of Maharashtra, food preparation is generally on a very spicy side, and in my experience people from Mumbai find it difficult to manage. In this resort food was nicely prepared, not spicy and served fresh. Buffet with various options to choose from. Many specialty dishes from Vidarbha side were provided. They provide one non-vegetarian item with dinner and lunch is only veg. Special mention of Buttermilk provided with Lunch.
Breakfast is simple and nice, could have been better if more options were provided.
Bhel and Chivda alternatively served with hi-tea was excellent idea and everybody liked it
Morning tea before leaving for safari was served on time (at 5.00 am.). Plus one from my side as leaving property on time for safari is very important for me.
Staff and hospitality Special kudos to staff, really courteous and attentive. One of the owners - Shri Mandlik was present on the property for overall supervision and provided excellent support.
Overall, a very good experience and nice place for families visiting tadoba - moharli gate for safari. Even Khutoda gate safaris can be managed from this resort, one need to check details. Highly recommended place....
Read moreWe ( two close families of 3 members each) had a relaxing getaway from the citylife hustle at The Sanctuary Tadoba , enjoying our stay amidst the serene, lushgreen surroundings from 3rd to 5th June 2022. The resort is close to the Moharli Core Gate as well as other buffer gates, making it all the more approachable for tourists. It has varieties of flowering and fruit bearing trees and shrubs, an abode for eye catching birds and butterflies. The entire place is very well maintained with cleanliness given a priority. The rooms are spacious and well ventilated. The swimming pool certainly is a great respite during the scorching summer heat while the Machan is a wonderful place to watch out for wild animals and the magnificent peacocks. The garden, kids play area, the dining area are simply superb. The food is excellent with tempting local delicacies, right from Breakfast to Dinner. We were highly touched when we were offered a cool welcome drink on our arrival in the sweltering afternoon and also with the evening snacks and the piping hot tea that awaited us after our afternoon safaris, which made us forget our exhaustion. The owner Mr Mandlik, personally attended to every guest and ensured that they had a comfortable stay. NO wonder the staff, especially Mr Haribhau, are also very courteous and helpful.
We had a pleasant and enthralling stay, promising ourselves that we will be visiting this place soon with our extended family members to relish and cherish the amazing experience. I would rate this resort highly worthy of appreciation with excellent hospitality, awesome food quality and finest facilities. Looking forward to...
Read moreThe property itself is reasonably big with lot of play area for children. The property is not old but the upkeep of buildings needs serious attention at least in the Standard rooms. The response of the staff is decent when the occupancy is not large. Once the occupancy becomes large or full capacity then all hell breaks loose. The restaurant is a complete mess be it during breakfast or lunch/dinner. No amount of early placing of orders helps as they dont do anything about it. Initially we thought we have some bad luck but later on realised that some other people were far worse off. ||||The reception needs to be told to clean the rooms. Even the cleaning is just rooms. they dont do any cleaning in the bathrooms nor do they dust the balcony. you will find the windows and the balcony grills with lot of dust and dirt sitting on them. It is so bad that you will find cobwebs in them.||||We also saw differential treatment meted out to customers in Deluxe suites vis-a-vis customers in Standard rooms. The restaurant would also come to know of the type of accommodation we have from our room number||||We had an medical emergency call on our last day from our family back home and the call was received by the front desk as we didnt have phone connectivity on our mobiles nor the rooms had a intercom. They never gave us the message when we returned back from our safari. only when we got back and switched on our mobiles to the wifi did we come to know about the...
