Hotel Devraj Place is one of the worst hotels that I ever stayed in the recent past. The management is so sick and non-responsive, I wasted so many calls in trying to get their confirmation after making the 50% advance payment. Inspite of making the payment and after several followup calls, they never bothered to confirm the receipt of the payment. As I was driving from Mumbai for over 10 hours, I called and informed them bout my expected time of arrival and requested them to keep the rooms ready. On arrival, the rooms were not ready and they pushed us into some available room, which was stinking of cigrates and one can't even stay for a minute in that room. Then they said, they will change the room and showed us different rooms, which was slightly better. Once we got into the room, we found the bedsheets were used and was completely dirty and never been changed for a long period of time. I called them and asked them to change the bedsheets and the pillow covers. The rooms were still stinking of migrates. The AC was not working and they said they have power problem. The WiFi which was promised and listed as free to the guests were not functioning. They said, there's no WiFi available in the hotel. Inspite of having their own restaurant - which they claim is one of the best in Maheshwar, we could never ever get morning tea or breakfast (which was included in the room rate) till about 7:30 am. As we had to leave early morning we end up having tea in their road side shop and not in the hotel. The manager and the owner were not even bothered to come and talk to me to understand the issues that we were facing. ||||This is a real chat hotel with extremely poor quality of service and very unhygienic. I strongly recommend TripAdvisor to de-clasify this hotel and not recommend the same to the TripAdvisor users. Read moreWe reached hotel at 3.30 - checked in but not shown to our rooms straight away. Check in time is 2pm -Waited till about 10 mins till someone came and took us. Was too tired and wanted a bath. But there were no towels. Called reception - towels came after a wait of 15 mins. Wanted to make tea - there was no milk powder sachets. Tried the kettle. It switched off half way and the water was not boiling -just hot and I like my tea boiling hot and also it is dangerous to drink the half warm water as it was tap water and not fully boiled. Told them but they refused to believe me- argued that it will be only warm and not boil. Room should have been fully ready . Then wanted to switch on good night( mosquito repellent machine) found there was no liquid. Stood at the reception with the bottle for 10 mins and then asked the receptionist if he could listen to me. He told me this would be done- I told I will take it. The person who changed it accompanied me to the room but himself did not know where to go despite telling him my room number 3 times and he working at the hotel.|Also while checking in we were told we will get 2 mineral water bottles but the person who took us to the room carried only 1 and when I asked when could I get the second one? He replied call reception when you need one. So far all good hotels keep water kettle, milk sachets, tea/ coffee in the room before guests arrive. This hotel looks weird. Also the toilet had water even when we not used the bath. So it was for sure that the room was not cleaned and ready for us which makes me think of hygiene issues. Again MP holidays booked us here so we trusted them but as usual they are not...
Read moreFirst thing first is the hotel is 1.5 KM away from the Narmada Ghar and Fort. One cannot easily find the commute to travel Ghat area, additionally OLA and UBER is also not working in the city so one has to rely on the local tempo which is again easily not available. Now coming to Room cleanses… I would like to mention that I stayed in Royal Room with my little daughter (4.5 years) and spouse and I found broken glasses in the room which is absolutely not good in terms of safety. Also , when I ordered a tea in the room , they ridiculously served the cold tea ( absolutely not very Hot ) . There are so many mosquitoes and flies inside the room and weird smell keep coming causing irritation. Long story short - Hygiene is not maintained by hotel management.
Breakfast: If you have opted for free Breakfast, please don’t go with this …the breakfast is Okay in terms of taste but what I found is that hotel management is doing distinction between gues.. for example- This hotel is quoting that it’s a vegetarian restaurant, but I found that restaurant is serving Eggs to couple of guests( This is just one example) …. Also , they treat you on the type of room you stayed…so I would absolutely not recommend this hotel. Unhygienic Rooms , Behaviour and service Issues with Managemen and overpriced rooms.
