A Royal Getaway That Stays in Your Heart
We visited JMD Resorts, Mandav for a weekend escape—and ended up making memories that will last a lifetime. The resort is stunning: lush landscapes, Rajasthan-style elegance, and every corner thoughtfully designed for both romance and celebration.
From the grand Toran Gate welcome to the serene views of Kakda Kho Waterfalls from our deluxe room, everything felt like a dream. We stayed for 2 nights, enjoyed in-room dining (the chilli paneer and butter khichdi were divine), and shared moments over terrace chai in the windswept morning air.
Special thanks to the incredible staff—especially Khilan Shah, Aditya, Ayush, and Vaishnavi—for their warmth and hospitality. We genuinely felt more like family than guests.
We also had the privilege of speaking with the owners, who were so humble and welcoming—it never felt like we were meeting them for the first time. Their personal touch truly shines through in every aspect of the resort’s service and hospitality.
What truly stole our hearts? The stunning pheras area. We actually looked at each other and said: “Let’s get married again—right here.”
From dedicated rooms for photographers and artists to kid zones, pool villas, bridal suites, banquet halls, and a rooftop veg restaurant under construction—it’s clear this place is built for stories.
A perfect blend of affordable luxury, nature, and heartfelt moments. Highly recommended for couples, weddings, or anyone...
Read moreThe JMD Resort is said to be in Mandu, but it's actually located in Nalcha, a few kilometers before Mandu. The resort is newly built, hardly a year old, and has a beautiful heritage property design. There are approximately 90 rooms, two large halls, and a big garden. I think it could be a good destination wedding spot in the coming days, which is not commonly found in Mandu or outside Indore. The surrounding area has great natural beauty, and since the resort is new, it's well-maintained. The rooms are also quite good. However, one thing that didn't impress me was the swimming pool, which is small and not up to the mark. The service is okay, and the food is reasonable with good taste. The complimentary breakfast has a limited spread, but the taste is okay. Overall, the JMD Resort is a good option to visit, and there's nothing bad about it. However, I would suggest avoiding Fridays because there's a dargah in Nalcha that gets very crowded on Fridays. When I visited, the traffic jam was so bad that it took me an hour and a half to cross just one kilometer. So, I would recommend...
Read moreThe location of this hotel is top-notch, and the rooms are spacious and well-maintained. However, our experience was severely marred by the arrogant and unfriendly staff. From check-in to check-out, the attitude was one of disdain and superiority. It's a shame, really, because the hotel's potential is wasted on such poor service. If they could work on their customer relations, I'd be happy to give them more stars. As it stands, I'm torn between loving the hotel's amenities and hating the staff's attitude. It’s really a shame when you arrive late for check-in at 4 pm but your room is either not ready or has been allocated to someone else even when you’ve paid full amount in advance for specific rooms. After that they tend to bribe you with complimentary dinner service and at check out charge 550 rupees per person for the shittiest food one ever had.. well, let’s cut it short.. Location - 4 stars Rooms - 3 stars Food- Zero.. absolutely Zero Staff and Hospitality - can we rate...
