MINICOY ISLAND BEACH RESORTS — Hotel in Minicoy Island

The hotel is located just on the beach that has perhaps the best ocean-water in India. In the past I have stayed several times at several locations in the Government controlled hotels in India. Minicoy Island Beach Resort is the best.||The rooms are very specioous with good air conditioning. Bathroom also is very specious and quite clean. They have big balconies on the front as well as on the back side. Good part is that they have water tap provided at the entrance of the rooms so that we don't get in the rooms with sand-filled feet after swimming. Good cupboards with shelves that are quite convenient.||We liked the canteen area. It's very specious with lots of comfortable chairs, fans and lighting. Open ambience ensures that we get good breeze while having food. They served very good food comprised of varous local varieties too. We are vegeterians and enjoyed the variety as well as the preparation.||They have trained staff as well as equipment for various water sports and activities such as banana ride, snorkelling, scuba diving etc. We enjoyed snorkelling a lot. Good variety of corals as well as fishes.They have bicycles that we used to roam around the streets of Minicoy, which is quite an enjoyable experience.||Calm and quiet ambience overall. Just sitting by the beach enjoying the clean water is an experience that can't be descried in words!||Staff is SUPERB. Excellent hospitality with a strong desire to ensure customer delight. Very rarely one gets this kind of customer service experience continuously for 4-5 days of our stay and from each and every staff member. Highly motivated people with smile on their faces all throughout.||The only negative pointis the network connectivity. Entire island has only BSNL 2G connectivity and hence the hotel Wi-Fi is also weak. In a way it's a blessing in disguise as we can be cut-off from the world while on vacation!||I will certainly visit Minicoy again and will stay at the same locations for 4-7 days....

Absolutely stunning. Food was delicious here, almost my best highlight. I don't want to bad mouth the island but there is a serious rubbish issue. So many bottles and plastic. Minicoy is one of the most beautifull Islands in the Lakshadweep. Total Lakshadweep is beautiful & clean. But Minicoy is totally a different island because the people of Minicoy Island are origins of Maldives.
