Hotel Kewal — Hotel in Nashik

With very high expectations, I had booked Vayu banquet hall of hotel Kewal on 18 Mar 2023. Expectations were high as this hotel is run by the management of The Five Elements, which is a very popular restaurant near city centre mall of Nashik. From their price list, I opted menu for which cost per plate was INR 600. It has option of 2 sweets, one being ice cream. I asked for sizzling chocolate brownies with ice cream for which they revised per plate price to INR 620. I agreed to this deal only to buy utter disappointment for myself and my family. Reasons The taste of food was pathetic. Welcome drink Pina colada was not good. It tasted like a free drink offered on roads during processions. Chef could not prepare simple dishes like veg spring roll, paneer peshawari, kofta Subzi, dal tadka. All these dishes were very salty. Highest disappointment came from Sizzling brownie with ice cream. I haven’t eaten worst brownie than the one over here. Vanilla ice cream used in this dish was of very cheap quality (it wasn’t ice cream, it was just flavoured ice). There was no sizzling effect whatsoever from this sizzling brownie. Chocolate used for topping was again of cheap quality. My rating would be negative for this restaurant (which isn’t the option available on google maps). I would say that I wasted almost INR 45k. Pls look out for other options if you don’t want to spoil...

AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU CAN.. Room was big & spacious but not clean at all. Bedsheet & Duvet had stains all over and seemed like it wasn't washed for days. I feel they do not wash the bedsheets after guests check out, they use the same for the next guests. Extremely Poor hygiene level. Though when asked to change they did change these.

Food in their restaurant/ room service is bad too. Had ordered for fried rice, pasta and buttermilk. Fried rice was like jeera rice, extremely dry and no taste at all. Pasta felt like it was just poured into a bowl of masala milk. Icing on the cake was the buttermilk, they charged me 150 for it whereas the menu showed it as 50. It was as thin as water and no taste. Big mistake to order here.

If you do not have a choice then you can stay here but get your own towel and bedsheet if you travelling with children. Do not make your kids sleep on the stained bedsheets.

AC was good. Hot water available in the bathroom. 2 beds so 3 of us could sleep well. Bathroom was ok but not too clean. Only reason I chose this place was that it was walking distance from the place that I had come to visit in Nashik.

However next time, will book this place only if I do not find any other...

The hotel stay experience was really bad. We had to unfortunately book this hotel because all other great stays in Nashik were booked out. The disappointment began as soon as we entered the hotel. The food does not taste good and is overpriced. The room did not have handwash, dental kits, toilet rolls, hand towels and shower towels, we had to ask for it. The exhaust fan in the washroom does not work. There is no pressure of water, it takes forever to even fill the bucket and the flow of water in the shower is a joke. There are only two plug points in the room and even those are totally away from the bed. The ac stops working in the middle at any time and it gets very hot in the packed room. The water kettle does not work and we had to get it changed. They give you only one bottle of water complimentary for a stay and rest is chargeable. The breakfast was a joke, cold food and beverages were served and one dish was added 15 mins before closing time of the breakfast served. All in all, the hotel is not recommended for a stay at this price range, Nashik has way better hotel...
