We stayed at the hotel with my family.
The location is difficult to find, there is no sign for entry. So if you search from Google it's impossible to find a hotel. They are now under a sign Classic Plaza or smth.
The breakfast is included and it's very nice for the price. We paid 1500 for 3 members room and overall for this price and breakfast included it's a great deal.
When we moved in there were hair on the pillow and blanket so I asked to change the bedsheets, and they changed them when we asked.
The stuff also agreed for payment later during the day because we had to exchange money. This was very nice of them and we appreciated it.
We payed with cash later that day and next day we paid through upi transfer.
Then after we moved out at 3 am, at 7 am I started to have many calls on my phone. I thought it's a spam company so I didn't pick up. On the 13th call my boyfriend picked the call up and the stuff member was scolding us that we didn't pay money for our stay. He explained that we payed everything and he said sorry and dropped the call.
I think it's inappropriate to call such an early morning and do it 12 times when I didn't pick up. He could've just send a message and I would call him back when I wake up. But he decided to call 12 times and I think if my bf wouldn't be so considerate after I wake up it would be 100 calls for sure.
So please make sure that you track your incoming cash and even if you want to check smth with a client - Don't call early in the morning. General appropriate time to call is business hours from 9am to 6pm. If smb doesn't pick up a call, write a message with request. Better don't call at all, because Indian numbers are getting spammed with so many calls nobody cares anymore. Just write a message and ask to call back.
And a quick tip - If you saw smb leaving at 3 am in the morning the hotel near the airport, maybe just general sense should tell you that calling at 7am is a bad idea. We are very tired and sleepy and then we are getting bothered by it so much that I got up and wrote...
Read moreFirst off this is a review for a 1200RP hotel so I only expect a safe place with a shower and a bad. I'm giving it this review despite that wiggle room.
The place was hard for even a local to find. Our cab driver had to call the desk for them to come down. It's likely because it has at least two names.
Checkin experience is antiquated and confusing. They seem to be in construction and didn't know which rooms they had in a good state. They checked three rooms before they found a decent one that smelled of fresh paint. We tried to open the balcony door but it's shut or broken (fire hazard). Instead we turned on the fan to ventilate the room a bit. We considered changing hotels at this point but we only intended to stay until about 1am for our flight. They brought us the key, some soap and water for the room. We left to do some final shopping and grab lunch. Some good shops and restaurants nearby.
We returned and slept, and the room was decently quiet despite being on a loud road with constant honking. So far for me this was a 3-star experience. We woke up and showered for 4 minutes before the water completely ran out; no hot no cold. No pump switch to add more. We packed our bags and then suddenly heard the door handle jiggle - at 1am. Weird, but maybe someone drunk went to the wrong room so we let it slide. Then the handle jiggled a 2nd time, followed by a 3rd. No knock, no use of the doorbell or room phone; just someone trying to open the door. I quickly unlocked and opened the door and saw the two hotel attendants looking shady. I asked them what the hell they were doing trying to open our door at 1am and they couldn't answer. Finally one of them stuttered out "check in", which baffled me. The clerk told me to relax but I'm thinking "Check in at 1am??" We didn't ask for room service or a check in so I have no idea what they thought they were doing. We left right after that since we felt extremely uncomfortable. Don't stay here even for a quick airport hop. Do yourself a favor and stay at a...
Read moreSo… The hotel isn’t the one on Google maps. Much to the frustration of our taxi driver. We knew it wouldn’t be luxury but booked as we had an early flight the next morning and arrived late. But the hotel isn’t even labelled ‘Hotel Emerald Park’ from the outside. I ended up in some foyer in an un signed posted steps but where Google maps listed the place. An unfriendly man at the counter then told me this was the wrong building and it was 20 meters down the road at ‘his other property’. 150 metered down the road and un a side alley was where the hotel was. Again super unfriendly staff. I was shown a room that wasn’t a quad room like I had booked and reluctantly taken to a quad room after. The room wasn’t that clean but the beds and bedding was comfy at least. Only stay here if you don’t have many other options. I would avoid the...
