Hello By Ananya, Puri — Hotel in Puri

Recently, we visited Puri for a family trip from 31st January to 3rd Feb 2024 and booked Hello By Ananya for our entire stay. To be honest, I booked the accommodation after seeing positive reviews on both Google and TripAdvisor. Now, from my perspective, I am writing this true and honest review about this property.

Firstly, Hello by Ananya is not a hotel; it is an apartment where other residents reside in the same building. Since it's not a hotel, don't expect any hotel-like facilities, not even basic services like proper room cleaning, toilet, etc. There is no housekeeping facility, and no room service. And if you think it's good because it's an apartment and you can expect some peace, you're wrong. The apartment works are ongoing, as it is an incomplete building, so don't be surprised if you hear drilling and hammering sounds, which can be very annoying.

Now, there is no provision for drinking water; I mean normal RO water, so you have to purchase drinking water. This apartment is in a remote location from the market, temple, and sea beach, so your local conveyance cost will rise. Please remind yourself, and the cost of local convenience from the hotel is much higher compared to other areas. The price you have paid to stay at this Hotel,You can expect only basic room ; that's it, nothing more, nothing less. So, don't expect anything like a hotel-like environment here. If you are ready to clean your room and toilet and have your own vehicle, then only you can consider this accommodation. However, at this range, you can get a much more luxurious hotel near the sea beach, so don't fall into the trap. Also, I forgot to mention one important thing: if you ordered food from any online site like Zomato or Swiggy, then you have to get down from your apartment and go to the main gate of the apartment to pick up your food delivery. As there is no room service facility, and they don't allow outsider persons inside the premises for hotel customers, so each time you have to be ready to collect the food from downstairs. Don't expect it to be delivered to your room.

In my opinion, they are running only a money minded business, but they are not professional.The behavior is very rude, they charge 400 Rs from me for early check In,which was shocking for me,as i have never seen such practice,I don't think all the positive responses they have received are genuine; they are simply taking advantage of the location(Puri). Don't fall into the trap of positive reviews; you can find a much better hotel nearby and enjoy your stay much better than this. I hope now you can make your decision accordingly. Keep your eyes open, don't make the same mistake I did, and don't blindly believe Google reviews." Points to be noted:- 1.There is no much food stall or restaurant available nearby so you have to order your food through online. The internet signal is very poor in this apartment and also there is no provision for WiFi in this Hotel. There is no room service. And lastly and very important point that dont ever hire any Two Wheeler from the contact given by the Hotel, their service is very poor, its better to hire two wheeler from any nearby tour and...

The person who booked my accommodation had informed my sleeping arrangement for a family of five - 3 ladies and 2 children in a suite, where they'll put a mattress in the living room. We reached at 11.30pm after taking dinner in another hotel as they do not have restaurant or room service. First gate keeper and parking staff mis guided my car then at check- in staff just vanished. We carried our own bags and didn't know where to go from the reception. Then staff waiting near lift waved at us and took us to our room. When he opened the room, out was a shock! After having a full tiring working day, driving in rain and at night and again searching for food in Puri at night, we were just looking forward to sleep. They'd put 2 mattresses in the living, blocking accessto the entire suite ! We literally took off our shoes and crossed the sea of mattresses to go over to the bedroom. When I asked the staff to put on the ac as it was stuffy and warm, he casually informed that ac is only in bedroom and we need to find the remote ourselves because he can't come in because of the mattress and he left us standing there! We called the reception where someone just answered and cut the call halfway. No call back or no one came to assist us. We ourselves pushed the bed and brought in a mattress inside the bedroom as without ac the living room was unbearable. And stood up the other mattress up the wall to make living room toilet accessible. It was a terrible terrible experience and will advise anyone looking for accommodation in Puri to stay away from...

Extremely poor n pathetic hotel...we had to carry our own luggage inspite of staff availability..we reached late night due to some unavoidable circumstances..3 ladies 2 children and no assistance provided for luggage or parking...they will give you wrong information about the rooms n charge you highly ... we were charged 6k for a room which is in between 1500 - 2000 in similar apartment hotels ..below average room ..bathrooms are stinky..ants in the living room...no AC in living room in a so called suite n this wasnt even informed earlier but later false statements were given that they had mentioned..we asked in advance for a king size mattress to be put on the floor as we were 5 ppl ..they put 2 such mattresses n blocked the entire space n we cudnt even move inside the rooms to use washrooms ..5 ppl stuck almost..5 pillows n duvets categorically informed 2 hours before we reached ..they gave 4..we had to redo everything on our own because when we called them for help ..they listened but disconnected our calls n never came for help. Water logging in the corridors was another major issue..in fact they had water logging almost everywhere.. No room service was told rather written on watsapp...next day Morning they come with stale n low quality breakfast..no restaurant..no swimming pool ..no Seaview...no parking...overall experience was horrible..will never suggest anyone to stay with them..
