We stayed here for 3 days and place is good. We booked our stay via booking.com and we payed almost 5times the price of the actual. Location was good and weather as well. I am not sure how people have rated this camp as 5 star it should be 0 star or below that.
Tent room: enough place with one bed. Bed mattress good, bed sheet it seems they have not washed stinks and stained all over it, towels same things you will see stains. We ask for replacement and in return we receive the same we do not have any choice as we paid very hefty price for our stay we adjusted.
Food: was absolute horrible you pay 350 pp for a buffet and the arrangement was a nightmare. Plates were not washed i literally showed the server when i wipe the plate with tissue, it was covered with thick layer of oil. But they did not bothered ask him this is wash aisa hee milega. Our stay was included with breakfast which was pathetic too.
We eventually travelled to jaiselmer city for food.
Desert safari : Please be careful these guys are absolute scammers. Desert they quoted us around 6k where they promised for 3-4 deserts and camel ride. After negotiation it came down to 2k which includes desert safari and camel ride. We started the safari in evening around 5 and the guy took us to nearby by desert and thats it and later it was camel ride was not included we were shocked as how they scammed people. Eventually we drop the idea of camel safari and ended up driving ATV which was fun. Night they have some cultural program where loud dj and dance program was played. Performer you will see least bothered not sync.
Guys be careful these guys are absolute scammers and be careful in paying such huge amount to them.
Location wad good, we travel to longewala and border we travel with our. For border pass you need to stand in a queue for the pass. Also if you travelling by car make sure you have enough petrol in your car before you make it to the border.
Nearest petrol pump is in ramgarh and some food joints. Entire desert does not have any...
Read moreThere is lot to tell. Don't go by all good review. First of all, it is not at all inside the deep desert. It is roadside desert camping. The name is Red Velvet & they will take you to Golden City Camping. They (guy named Mr.Ayub) will include the camping, Parasailing, Camel Ride & Jeep Ride in the package for 8k which is not worth. Parasailing is just for two minutes which covers only 300m distance for which they charge Rs.1000/-. Not worth at all. In the name camping, they arrange Rajasthani Folk Activity. But, it is completely Gazals & Muslim activity. There is nowhere Rajasthani Folk activity at all. We all were bored. The only good part part was Camel ride which is arranged by other guys. The package included night star gazing for extra Rs.4500. However, the cold increased a lot to 7°C due to which our baby could bare it. We request Mr.Ayub to cancel our night Star Gazing & refund the money by cutting nominal charge of jeep tranport (Rs.500 max). But he refused & suggested to leave baby & someone at camp & others to attend star gazing. He didn't refund amount. When we went back to hotel next day (where hotel room was smelling bad & worst. The flush was not working), he then promised to arrange city tour & next morning transport to bus station for our travel. However, he provided contact of person & he never picked up our call. Also, Mr.Ayub never picked up our call. We had to walk till bus station along with big trolley luggage & baby all the way. It was worst experience. There are better camping option which are inside deep desert. Please choose....
Read moreI was visiting with my parents and husband who is American. Our rooms were clean, had all the necessary amenities. We had reserved the room that included an AC. For being in a desert, there was water, electricity and it felt like a regular, good hotel. They even had a pool and a poolside area which was well maintained. Since we had only a one night stay, we weren't able to make use of it but would have loved to. They kept providing bottled water for free and the staff was very attentive and responsive, even providing a small breakfast at 6:00 am, before scheduled time since we had to leave early. If we come back, we will definitely stay for longer. The night time entertainment was more Rajasthani than that of the Banjaras of the desert, but still was still good. Not specific to this resort but in general, this whole strip has resorts/tents for tourists and the camel ride etc..helps explore the desert but it would have been a better experience to have dancing/entertainment on...
