Damodar Dham — Hotel in Rajasthan

Usually I avoid to write an review but this time I have no choice.

Only one word Pathetic They are representing themselves as a property manage by private organisation.

But there are no facilities provided by them. First issue: early checkin We booked total of 4 rooms for 9 person. There check in time is 12:00 clock and check out time is 10:00 am, and if u want early check in then u have to pay half day room charges, that’s fine they want to do a business so they can have their own rules. But places like Nathdwara where there is importance of Shreenath ji darshan timing, they should change time, as most of the people came in the morning around 5:00 am if he/she is travelling by bus.

All the 5star hotels also allowed early check in within one hour without any extra cost. After requesting so much they are ready to give only one room for 9 person. And when we asked for basic requirements like towel and soap they told that they will provide all this after 12:00 pm not before that . Just imagine so called private operators not able to provide soap and towel also .

They have rooms to give us but purposefully they asked us to wait.

Kindly note here point is not given extra money for early check in here point is intention of that property owner.

Here I want to draw one more point is all the check in time in Nathdwara hotels or dharmshala is around 7-8 am and they allowed us to do early check in if rooms are available

Behaviour of staff: They are not ready to listen anything, and then they want money as a deposit and they want at a time only they can not wait for money but they can asked us to wait for hours and hours…

They doesn’t have proper staff and enough staff to manage.

I think so rather than this mandir mandal managed dharmshala are better.

Yes 1 plus point specious rooms are there.

More of the Property managed by private organisations are clean and well managed but unfortunately not for this property

One more point I want to draw staff continuously asked us to go for darshan, we are travelling from Vadodara and overnight journey and they want us to go for darshan without freshen up.

The point is if you have rooms u should give room.

Good place to stay for a short time and rooms are spacious but lacks proper maintenance. The best part is hassle free 24 hrs. check-in/checkout allowed so no worries if you reach Nathdwara at midnight or early morning. The Shreenathji temple is approx. 15 minutes walking distance from the place. Wheelchair facility for senior elders was easily available from the premise itself.

We went on Raksha Bandhan festival on August 30, 2023 and stayed for 2 days. We were 9 people and so booked 4 bed rooms (2) and 2 bed rooms. Even though you don't get any room service or stay like luxury hotel but it is quite good as compared to other dharmshalas. They provide toiletries like Towel Bath and a mini soap. Rooms were not deeply cleaned but not too dirty also. Overall it was okay.

The restaurant service was closed temporarily and so no food option was available inside the premise. You could only get tea/coffee service.

Key features of the rooms: Spacious hall with sofa and chairs in a 4 bed room. There are two different rooms plus a common hall in a 4 bed room.

Separate two washrooms in each room with western style toilet seat. (Applicable to 4 bed room)

Separate shower room and toilet. (Applicable to all the rooms 2 and 4 bed rooms)

Separate wash basin outside washroom. (Applicable to all the rooms 2 and 4 bed rooms)

Additionally there were cupboards, cabinets, mirror for dressing, cushion chairs in all the rooms. (Applicable to all the rooms 2 and 4 bed rooms)

TV was also available. (Applicable to all the rooms 2 and 4 bed rooms)

No drinking water facility is available so you need to carry your own water bottle.

Hot and cold water for shower is provided.

AC was working fine but fans were not working properly and were too noisy.

Lift facility available.

Power backup available in case power cut happens.

Overall good stay and too good as compared to other stay options provided by Nathdwara...

Good to stay near Temple..!! Value for money..

Book room on higher floor in order to get best room view with Shiv Murti , we had booked 607 and 608 both are good , one may call and ask before booking for best room view (Ask for Shiv Murti Side View) Rooms are spacious and have hot water facility as well 500 mtr from Temple , walking distance Room charges are 1350 + GST per room for normal category They take security deposit 1K per room which will be returnable upon check out Parking is chargeable (Costly) but left with no option 100+18 % GST when we stay at the same place Photo copy of Final Covid Vaccine Certificate ( Even at Temple you have to show at all check in / entry point which is must) of all visitors are compulsory to submit (bring photocopy with you in prior) You can get photo copy of vaccine at multiple stores near temple at 10/- per copy even before Mangla Darshan so no worries for that They have Tea stall inside the premises (you can get tea up to 11 pm approximate) you can book directly there also and one can book online also, we had booked online comfortable for elder as well as younger kid

Go for this only if you are planning to stay very near...
