Hotel Meenakshi Udaipur — Hotel in Rajasthan

As I would like to start with check in. We checked it around 3pm for 2 room front desk was good neat and clean. We got the room 205 and 206. 206 room number was not at all clean bathrooms were stinking, although hotel staff had put room freshener to hide the smell, but they could not. Them later they shifted our room to 306 which was less then average. But we were not having option to fight as we were tired and accepted the room. 205 room was good initially same with the nice room freshener. 1st night was well spend, but 2nd day after our sight seeing we arrived hotel at 6pm and with we opened the 205 door and it was terrible bad smell, the same informed to front desk. Later after room freshener smell subsidised and we could manage for the day.

Overall we rate the hotel for not more the 2 star. 2 star bcoz of rent which is around Rs. 800 to 1000 per night and food which they serve at there restaurant is really good and even staff.

Overall staff is good and their behaviour.

Things missing at restaurant:

Cleanliness not good at all. Bath rooms are not well maininted toilet seats are not good. No tissue papers Bed sheet seems are not cleaned.

Good : Rooms are big and bathroom also.I took 2+1 bed but they gave me 2+2 so space was no issue. Bed mattress bed sheet all good and clean. Tv with Tata sky was there AC was chilling One can make tea coffee in the room they have provided Check in hassle free I came at 10.30pm the guy at the reception was helpful Hotel is located by the corner of the road which is busy during the day I was staying here during my drive from delhi to mumbai for one night rest and I was happy for my purpose.

Bad : Hotel has scope to renovate but they are happy with what they r providing Electricity went off once during day but since it was normal temperature outside so it was ok august time. I took with breakfast but the poha,poori bhaji tea bread butter all was ok ok. They don’t have dedicated parking for hotel guest with cars. I parked outside the hotel by the road but morning the shop owner asked me to move further. The fans in the room has switch but don’t know how to put it on.

Average budget hotel strictly for one night stay. The family room with 3 beds though large, had a musty smell. The linens looked at the end of their shelf life. We were planning to leave early morning next day, but there was no hot water. Multiple calls to the room service and everytime we were told to wait for 10-15 minutes. This game continued for about an hour and then finally someone came and told us that hot water is now available in the bathroom taps. Since we got delayed partially due to the heavy rains as well on that day, we had our breakfast there only. Food was mostly good but the cheese sandwich could have been better prepared with more fillings. The biggest problem is that the place doesn't have a dedicated parking. You'll have to park it in a narrow lane next to the hotel with some effort. It's a part residential and part commercial area, so the lane sees a lot of traffic.
