Silver Oak is a very good budget hotel near the market in Mount Abu. It is just a few minutes by walk from the main road of the city. We’d booked online one Super Deluxe room for my family of three. We were upgraded to a room (think, Club room) which was on the ground floor with access to the small, but very well maintained, garden of the hotel. I would say that everything (the furnishings and the décor) in the hotel turned out to be pretty much the way it looked in pictures. Our room was quite spacious and we’d a comfortable king size bed with a pullout bed for the third person, which was comfortable and afforded a good sleep.
The furniture in the room included couches, a center table, cupboard, side tables with the bed, a LCD TV with plenty of channels, air conditioner, a mini fridge, and a kettle for tea. We were traveling with good amount of luggage and the room with the access to the garden and parking lot made it very convenient to fetch stuff from the vehicle. Of course there’s the hotel staff to take care of the luggage handling, but easy access to our vehicle was a plus. There is sufficient parking space for 4-5 cars within the compound.
Breakfast was included in the room price we paid. Breakfast variety is large and very good. There’s the regular white bread with jam and butter, yogurt, cereals and cornflakes, hot and cold milk, juices, tea and coffee, some fruit, and many north and south Indian dishes, such as poori bhaaji, dosa sambhar, etc. The breakfast is served on the first floor in a nice, cosy setting with comfortable chairs and tables. It was an enjoyable experience.
The bathroom is modern and of good size. The hotel provides toiletries like shaving kit, tooth brushes, comb, soaps and shampoos…not what we’d expected from a small, boutique hotel.
There are a couple of entertainment programs arranged by the hotel for the guests in the evening. Our family thoroughly enjoyed the puppet show. We were the only audience the puppeteer had at that time, so he made it special for us, especially my son. In fact, his performance with the puppets stood out in the numerous puppet shows we witnessed during our roadtrip in Rajasthan, even though it lasted only for 15-20 minutes. We were left enchanted and willing offered him a good tip. He even sells puppets and other handicraft. The other program involved a solo guitarist-singer who was also good and stayed up past dinner time to entertain the guests in the garden. These programs add immense value to the guests’ stay in this lovely hotel and makes one want to spend more nights there. We only had one night to spend in the quaint little hill station but I am glad I chose the right place to spend that one important night. The family was elated and still cherish the relaxing moments.
The check in and check out process is smooth and the person at the reception was always helpful with taking care of our small requests and providing some guidance on navigating the tiny city and recommending sightseeing points. The staff is very well mannered and helpful and eager to please…something that is a common trait in this princely state. Nevertheless, the staff here makes sure the guests feel comfortable in every way.
Overall, we’d a very pleasant and memorable stay and would recommend this property to...
Read moreMy recent weekend stay at this hotel was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived until the time we left, the hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. Despite facing unexpected bad weather conditions that caused road blockages, the staff's remarkable gestures made our experience truly memorable.
First and foremost, the food at this hotel is absolutely delightful. Every meal we had was a culinary delight, bursting with flavors and impeccably presented. The chefs deserve immense praise for their skillful preparation and their ability to cater to diverse dietary preferences. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, each dish was a feast for the senses.
During our stay, we encountered a challenging situation with the blocked roads due to bad weather. However, the hotel staff's response was truly commendable. They promptly informed us about the situation and took it upon themselves to ensure our safety and comfort. The staff went out of their way to arrange alternative transportation options, making sure we had everything we needed despite the unforeseen circumstances. Their dedication and commitment to guest satisfaction were truly remarkable.
Moreover, the entire staff displayed an impressive level of professionalism, warmth, and attentiveness throughout our stay. From the front desk to the housekeeping and restaurant staff, everyone treated us with genuine kindness and made us feel valued as guests. They were always ready to assist us with any request, and their friendly demeanor added an extra touch of warmth to our experience.
In addition to the outstanding service, the hotel itself was comfortable and well-maintained. Our room was spacious, clean, and equipped with all the amenities we needed for a relaxing stay. The common areas were also well-designed and provided a cozy atmosphere to unwind and enjoy the hotel's facilities.
Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Their commitment to exceptional service, delicious food, and going the extra mile during challenging situations like the bad weather conditions truly sets them apart. If you're looking for a memorable getaway where you'll be treated like royalty, this hotel is the perfect choice. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Read moreHotel is very close to the market, yet in a peaceful surrounding. Cleanliness and house keeping staff are very good and efficient. All the staff are very courteous. Restaurant food is good. One person by the name of Mukesh in the restaurant is particularly enthusiastic. Also their manager Mr Thakkar is very helpful and cooperative. The room size is quite good and there is an extra bed in all rooms.
However the only drawback is that is you don’t get a garden facing room it becomes a four wall packed room with almost no opening at all.
The breakfast spread is reasonably good and fresh. The restaurant (food) rates are reasonable. The owner is a well known Jain person of MT Abu and therefore you can be assured of totally vegetarian food. The sit out area for breakfast/restaurant is very nice. The bathrooms (hot water, soap dispenser, sanitary ware, and bath accessories) and linen quality is good and quite new.
Although one of the major issues is that anyone talking in lobby can be heard in the nearby rooms quite loudly and can be disturbing.
Everyday evening from 8 pm to 10 pm they have a singer who performs live with a guitar in front of a bonfire and that is very interesting and enjoyable. They have sufficient parking space and the house keeping staff can take care of car washing. If you are fond of small hikes in the mountains they align you with a trained/licensed guide who can take you to a trail of...
