Nivaas — Hotel in Rajasthan

In February 2025, during my visit to Ranthambhore National Park, I was fortunate enough to stay at Nivaās, which translates to residence or home, in Hindi. I booked directly from the lodge’s website (stayatnivaas.com), and had a good experience communicating directly with the hotel as I finalized my booking. A few days before my arrival, I reached out to the lodge for assistance with booking safari trips, which were promptly arranged. A day before my arrival, I received an email from the lodge requesting for my arrival time. The email also included, Mr. Shiv, the owner’s contact information, in case I needed any assistance with directions etc. Upon my arrival, I was deeply touched by the reception I received. The staffs were ready with a traditional Indian welcome. This is a brand new property, slightly off the main road on which the park entrance sits - hence the guests find themselves in a tranquil environment surrounded by forests and farmlands, and away from the noise of the traffic on the main road. Each of the suites represents a composite unit in itself - spacious, spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished in traditional Rajasthani style. Shiv has left no stone unturned so that his guests experience a homely feeling during their stay. I certainly did. The description of the lodge and the accompanying pictures at the Nivaās website are 100% accurate - they are exactly how I found them.||However, what makes Nivaās truly stand out is the level of service. My stay included all meals and the meals that were served were of the highest quality that you will be able to find in a HOME in this part of India. The manager of the hotel, Mr. Hem, went above and beyond his call of duty to make sure all matters related to my stay were addressed adhering to the highest standards and always remained available - whether with a warm blanket, a flask of hot tea and cookies for my early morning safari or a welcome drink and a wet towel upon my return or while serving any of the 3 deliciously cooked meals during the day. His support staff also ably assisted him at all times.||In Shiv, I met a humble man with a big vision of creating a beautiful home for the travelers to Ranthambhore. And so far, he has not missed a beat in executing his vision. In fact, it is perfect to a fault. I understand that Nivaās has only 6 suites - so for my next visit to Ranthambhore I must plan months in advance - as I know I will not be able to stay anywhere else. Because it will...

The best hotel within walking distance of Ranthambore National Park and also the best hotel on our 20-day India tour! |The hotel is within walking distance of the national park but away from the hustle and bustle of the city, providing views and a relaxing and pleasant atmosphere. |The structure is new, perfect, everything is taken care of down to the smallest detail, from the outside verandas, to the garden, to the interior. |The food is exquisite, you will be treated like royalty (and for us, being Italian, that was really the best gift). |The owner and all his staff are extremely kind and ready for any request and of a courtesy I have rarely had the pleasure of seeing. |They even made themselves (the priority and his partner) available 24 hours a day in case I needed anything! Never seen such thoughtfulness! |From the hotel you can see adorable little monkeys! |They also provide local artists to entertain you, which will give you a wonderful memory! |Last but not least, the hotel has few rooms, which ensures the tranquillity and exclusivity of the stay. |The final icing on the cake: CLEANLINESS! |If I could give as many stars as I want, I would not limit myself to just 5!...

This place is a hidden gem! As the road to the property was a bit bumpy I worried about what may come but I was blown away by what I discovered when the gate was opened! |The gardens were meticulous groomed, the pool pristine with a backdrop of the sun-kissed sky, and the food was spectacular! |My villa was above and beyond! The bed was so comfortable and the room was perfectly clean. All amenities were provided and the shower was amazing with plenty of hot water and great water pressure! While I never need A/C, it was available and worked great. |There is a great porch area on the villa for viewing nature. It was wonderful to sit here and relax after a long day out exploring. |The facility offers a full menu of additional activities to include cultural activities and more. |My only complaint was that I didn’t stay long enough. |I would 100 percent highly recommend this property in the future!
