Visit time: 22nd October - 24th October. And we checked out on 23rd morning itself.
There's not one but multiple issues with this property. I'll list them down priority-wise. We checked in with our dog sometime in the afternoon.
OUR TEA HAD WORMS. No, I'm not kidding. We reached the property a bit tired and ordered for tea for the family twice. The first time tea just tasted "Meh"! So, we ordered another one. Well, this one had worms in it. We thought maybe we're mistaken so we checked the tea thermos and that had 10-15 worms floating in it. (More on this later)
Apparently, it is listed as a great place to stay and that it attracts foreigners and it offers European cuisine, etc. To be honest, a thing like a basic sandwich didnt taste well. It was all bland.
The staff wasn't courteous and wasn't proactive. They were sorry. But did they do anything to rectify the problem? - NO.
They apologized to us a couple of times and by then we were sure we didn't want to continue the stay. The only reason we stayed the night was because we were all tired and we wanted to rest. They said this never happened before and this is the first time etc etc. But at the same time, they didn't do anything at all to improve the stay.
We eventually went out to a market nearby and got boiled eggs, bread and butter and managed the rest of the stay on that. Not once did these guys asked if they could bring us something from outside.. or if they could help us with something. Not only that, but when we checked out the next morning, we were telling them that the stay and their response was disappointing. No one was bothered. No one replied. They kept looking down at their systems busy with the billing.
We met the property's owner face to face and he was apologetic but again, didn't do anything. And after knowing that we bought bread and eggs from outside, He didn't even bother asking whether they could get us fruits from outside. We had to manage with the same for our evening snacks, dinner and breakfast.
When all was said and done, they just handed over the bill to us shamelessly and they just got done. No compensation for the meals and stay, nothing.
We've filed a complaint with the consumer court and are waiting. Meanwhile, I really wanted to reach out here and...
Read moreResort is located on main ranthambore road along with other famous resorts. Has an adequate size pool for short swims and baby pool alongside. Building hosts rooms of two diff varieties and poolside verandah houses brick cottages. Big lawn is there for spending evening with tea / drinks etc. Also kids can play outdoor sports like badminton / cricket etc. Small souvenir shop is there to shop tiger print tees / dresses and hats along with momentos They also have TT Table / Carrom and Chess boards located in a basement hall / banquet. Staff is helpful and management was accommodating as we reached very early and they allowed us early check in. Which was a saviour for us since whole town was closed. The food served is so delicious that you will forget whatever issues you will face during your stay at the resort. One star is reduced because it needs to upgrade to modern ameneties in rooms.
Pros :- Location Jungle Safari can b booked from the reception. Food is amazing... especially there pysom / sevian was fingerlicous. Chicken masala was scrumptious and corn salad, malai kofta was yummy. Even normal Deluxe Room and its bathrooms are spacious, some even have bath partitions in them. Staff is courteous and helpful. There were certain problems faces as described below which were rectified promptly.
Cons:- They serve only egg dishes in breakfast n lunch and one chicken gravy in dinner. Otherwise its mainly veg menu. Menu is subtle and not as per 4 star hotels as they project themselves. No cheese omelette / sausages / cut fruit variety or choice of juices etc. Rooms are outdated with old fixtures and old TVs with cable connection in todays smart tv world. Bathrooms are having shower almost next to toilet seat with no partition making it diff and also dirty after single use. Some or other electronic item isn't working properly in diff rooms like mini fridge or exhaust fan or ac remote etc. They don't have electronic safe in d cupboard. Some of the staff was not maintaining proper hygiene and were smelling due to non changing or taking bath regularly.
Overall i would recommend this place and rooms with bathrooms having glass partitions for your next visit and will miss the delicious food which caused us to do some overeating...
Read moreOne of the worst hospitality services ever. A clear request for early check-in and late check-out was made due to travel arrangements. Whilst making the payment and confirming the reservation no extra charge indications were made, even after inquiring about extra charges as that is the norm. Upon check-in, we were informed to wait for 6-hour as a large student group had checked in the night before our arrival. And rooms were sold out. Upon further inquiring and argument. The rudest of reception staff made a point that nothing could be done as check-out times are 11:00 am and we could only be checked in by noon. Furthermore, we requested the hotel staff to extend our check-out time due to our travel arrangements. It was no surprise the staff was rude once again and bluntly refused the request even after agreeing to pay a full-day charge for 6-hour use. The reception staff, in particular, is the most insubordinate staff ever. A local lodge would have a somewhat decent staff or even if they don't that is understood given their standards. But Ranthambore National Resort has the most unhelpful staff. Even after multiple pleas and putting forth our child the reception guy refused me and my family even a single room. The reception made us feel we were nothing (not even guests) and they had given us room out of pity. One of the most embarrassing situations. I understand some people might have had a pleasant experience but it was a nightmare for me. For those who make future reservations, please get all the details straight and right as they might change their services for the highest bidder and leave...
