The pictures shown are from front but you cannot enter from there when you come. If you have someone with knee problems or walking issues, do not stay here as the entrance to this place is from back of the hotel through a narrow dusty dirty road with steps. There is no elevator and no parking. We stayed in the basement which stinks due to open drains. I do not know why people are praising food. We ordered food which was too much salty and over priced and took 2 hours for basic preparations. The property looks like a store house as it is probably being built and is not a good option for solo travelers. If you are fit to walk and climb stairs you can go for a walk in river front. It's a good stretch. Also the behavior of property owners is good. They know their limitations and thus I complained about everything I had written above and they helped me how so ever they could. They accommodated us in basement room as one of us had knee issues and could not climb. Breakfast is not included in the stay even if you choose that option. Third party booking online creates confusion. Due to all these issues the owners gave me discount. But even then I ended up spending about 5 k for two basic rooms in basement and dinner. There is no amenity like electric kettle in the room to prepare your own tea and they won't give you tea before 8 am. But if these things can be fixed including entrance and no parking issue. There is a shady parking spot in an empty plot but our driver wasn't confident to leave car alone for night there so he ended up staying in the car. While hotels in rishikesh in general are overpriced, especially at the river front or where there are scenic views, in my experience ashrams could be better and cleaner and cheaper...
Read moreFaulty n broken switches, stained n uncleaned sheets/linen. Worst part was one night before checking out a group of unmarried youngsters had booked 3 rooms on our floor for sake of partying/boozing/howling. Shockingly bachelor's/spinsters given family floor. During night 0100 am suddenly v couldn't sleep due to loud screams and howls of a girl and boys. I called intercom to report to the hotel staff, it went unanswered for at least 30 minutes. So i went out to request em for lowering voices as my wife was a heart patient and sleep was needed for travel the next day. My wife soon joined me. Amongst them 1 young girl & boy (must've been teens) charged at my wife to attack & hurled abuses as her heart ailment was none of their concern, hence they will continue doing what they feel was right. Somehow I managed to block his way n pin him at a distance. They all were heavily drunk but 1 sober in them approached us4 apology. He also narrated that another younger girl had slit her wrists, hence all tried to control her. Me & my wife immediately threatened to call cops, but mellowed due to the young guys pleadings. Once v returned to our rooms, the whole night the abusive young girl kept screaming n howling as if she was being attacked. Unbelievably none of the hotel staff was available for our help 😔. Finally v checked out next day but alerted the hotel owner, never to return. The approach bridge was also broken hence posing danger of falling down . Location is good due to Ganga river flow right opposite. The place is secluded away from traffic. Shockingly guests want to Sin at nights and go to wash their Sins by bathing in the river. What two...
Read moreFrom the moment I eased into my decision of choosing (a part of ) my stay at Ganga View , even though the reviews were a half sell, Shashikant ji from front desk made the entire reservation experience so light and breezy |Ever since then I knew This would be One of the most memorable parts of my stay cz Who else but God to redirect me and my father (who is a Jankidevi Somany Bhavan patron since years) to this Beautiful private Ganga rejuvenation ✨✨✨ and then when the time came for the actual stay I was literally in the safest godliest hands !!! The crew - JagMohan ji who greeted and received us and Vijay ji my personal favourite Friend now -- went beyond their own heart and duties to be so|Kind so generous full of servitude and devotion in the best possible sense simply out of the beauty and grandeur of their own characters and personal discipline. The kind of hospitality we received has been unmatched. Even though I loved the Ashram equally next door and spent most of my time there , I am still Delighted I chose to stay with Ganga Forest view only because it WAS PERFECT for us in every way and had I not I would have missed out on knowing these great souls !!!!! Such a wonderful experience I simply cannot describe. The ghats are like the most sacred but the Tat right outside Ganga View is the Holiest one In all of Rishikesh For ME ! I'd jump to be back and a permanent resident with Ganga view in a heartbeat 😋☺️ |Thank you tram for having us and putting up with us in every way , with your genuine smiling faces. Lots of love and...
