Been there on 27th and 28th December. The entrance is a bit narrow and you have to go downstairs then again upstairs, but we really like the rooms and cleanliness. Took two super deluxe and two deluxe rooms. They have many facilities such as ac(cooling and heating), bathtub, geyser, hot and cold faucet for wash basin, bathtub and a general. Hand shower, toilet tissue. Two soaps, face towel and bath towel. TV, writing desk, cosy king size bed for super deluxe rooms and queen size for deluxe with clean and beautiful blankets. Even they have a full size cupboard, dressing table and a large sofa. But, they need to add an electric kettle along with a flask because it is too cold to have cold water. Electric kettle and flask is two basic things there. Other hotels there offer these two things. Otherwise Chu-lyang is pretty good. Mr. Ram at the reception desk is a very nice and warm person. The restaurant is nice and clean. There were four kids with us with different food choices and they served us everything we asked for without any hesitation. Most importantly, the view of the mountains from hotel room is amazing if the weather is clear. Overall, it is...
Read moreA fantastic location just a few minutes walk from the main market area but without simply any noise except the chirping of small colorful birds. Mesmeric views (if the weather is clear) of Kanchenjangha range from all the corridor windows as well as a few mountain side rooms. Rooms are not very spacious but comfortable enough. Bathrooms are also nice and very clean. On the top floor there is quite a big restaurant with a well-appointented bar and surprisingly a big stage with sound and light equipments. The food is very tasty, reasonably priced and quantity sufficient. The entire staff are young, efficient, courteous and most importantly always cheerful. Room service is also very prompt. Overall value for money. I suggest mountain view rooms on the top two floors. Only glitch is the entrance. This one can't be seen from the main road, though there are a couple of banners indicating the hotel but one can miss it easily. However, there is a hotel named Ravangla Star on Kewzing Road. Chu-liyang is...
