🇬🇧 I stayed 4 nights at Karthok homestay, and this stay was beyond my expectations. The hosts, the family, were very welcoming and warm. I felt at home. The room and the environment were very clean. The hot water works perfectly, the wifi too. The room is spacious, I was given two blankets, although it was not as cold as I thought. I even had a private balcony.

The environment is ideal for people looking for peace and quiet. I had my best nights there.

The homemade and fresh food was excellent and tasty.

Yuksom is a jewel preserved by its inhabitants, and you feel it as soon as you arrive. The family is very well knowledgeable, and they answered all my questions related to history, culture, customs, and Buddhism. I hope to come back to Karthok homestay.

🇫🇷 J'ai séjourné 4 nuits chez Karthok homestay, et ce séjour fut indescriptible. Les hôtes, la famille, ont été très accueillant et chaleureux. Je me suis sentie à la maison. La chambre ainsi que l'environnement etait très propre. L'eau chaude fonctionne parfaitement, le wifi également. La chambre est spacieuse, j'ai eu le droit à deux couvertures bien quil ne faisait pas aussi froid que je le pensais.

J'avais même un balcon privée. L'endroit est idéal pour les personnes recherchant le calme, et la tranquillité.

La nourriture, maison et fraîche, était exquise et goûtu.

J'ai pu en apprendre énormément sur les cultures multiples de l'état de Sikkim, ainsi que leur Histoire. Je me répète certainement, les hôtes ont une très grande connaissance de leur Histoire, et de leur culture, et ont su me l'expliquer avec beaucoup de clarté.

Yuksom est un joyaux préservé par ses habitants, et on le ressent dès que l'on arrive. Vous avez accès très facilement à des sentiers de randonnée.

J'espère vraiment pouvoir revenir à Karthok homestay.

We were staying for four nights at karthok homestay and we had a really good time. Breakfast and even dinner was included so we had the chance to eat so much delicious homemade food! We stayed in winter but the nice hot shower and an extra blanket that was provided kept us warm and cozy. Generally the service is really good, everyone maked sure we felt comfortable. There are quite some nice hiking routes easily accessible by foot from the homestay. We came here to spend some nice calm and quiet time in nature and that’s exactly...

I cannot say enough beautiful things about Karthok homestay. Sangay Doma , ND, and Tsering truly make you feel like family. They prepare delicious mouth watering home cooked traditional dishes like dry kawri, organic pumpkin and fresh local mustard greens. The rooms are cozy and immaculate and the geyser shower is hot to your liking. They have a lovely little garden and raised wooden terrace to relax in nature.
