Worst Worst Worst!
I am a frequent traveller and I have never experienced such a rude, inhuman behavior from a hotel manager.
Because the hotel is placed near NJP station and due to that proximity they are making so much money from travellers seeking for a night stay or a very short stay at Siliguri on the way to their destination. The Hotel owner and his son has mastered the art of utilizing tourist's troublesome situation.
They provided us room at ground floor just beside their reception which is not up to the mark at all and not at all fit to be charged Rs. 800-1000 even at peak season. We paid that hiked rent to have that filthy room as we had no other option at 10 o'clock night in Siliguri. But we were not able to sleep even for 5 minutes during the whole night as there were constant noise of TV, chaos among staffs and manager(son of Owner), late night customer dealing etc. And that was followed by power cut due to inverter failure which in turn gave opportunity of free feast for mosquitoes within the room in absence of fan and repellent. Further to add our agony a pump was being operated from the reception for a prolonged period which was attached with our room. I had made complaints at several times and literally prayed for a couple of hour's sleep. But the manager refused to decrease the the volume of TV and minimise the chaos at reception. Even the wicked manager asked me to check out from hotel late at night with my family if I couldn't tolerate the 'light and sound show' from the reception. He behaved just inhumanly and left us helpless.
I would suggest not to opt for Radharani lodge just because of their lack of manner, hospitality, rude and inhumanly behavior with guests. Otherwise one might get a sleepless night and torture throughout the whole night there just like I...
Read moreI stayed at this hotel during my last visit to NJP. It's little far from the railway station. You need to avail an auto or a toto if have to catch an early moring train. However, that is'nt a problem since autos/totos start plying very early. You just need to tell the hotel staff and they will arrange a vehicle at around 4-4:30 in the morning. Make sure you pay the fare in advance (around 150-160 rupees) so that they can book the vehicle for you. As far as the rooms are concerned, I found them good. It seemed the hotel has been recently constructed and thus there is "new" feeling to it. I had ordered my lunch from the hotel and the food was also not bad. Just one thing I noticed that some hotel staffs were enthousiastically asking for tips. I found it a bit unsusal. I had stayed there for just one night to catch the train early next morning. There was'nt much service requested that would call for such demand for tips. Anyways, it's definitely a good place to stay near the...
Read moreBooked through OYO. The bed was horrible, there were bugs all around, not bedbugs but small insects.I stayed for just a night, so managed somehow. The room was in first floor, the hotel staff at the ground floor reception were gossiping at the top of their voices till 2AM, most of the staff were teenagers with no etiquette, so I thought it useless to raise any issues with them.I checked out at 5AM, at that time the outside gate of hotel was locked. The worst part was that the hotel staff refused to unlock the gate till the I give a 5 star rating in front of them. I had to give a 4 star rating only after which they unlocked the gate. Possibly the worst experience of overnight stay I ever had till date.My strong suggestion to OYO discontinue with these crooks owned hotels, your credibility is getting eroded. The location is vert near to NJP Junction, for which I checked in, apart from that there is no reason to stay...
