Blue Lotus — Hotel in Tamil Nadu

Enjoyed a chilled stay here but there are a couple of things that would have been good to know beforehand. Firstly, it is far from Pondicherry - at least 30 minutes on highway and muddy dirt track roads. A cab/tuk tuk will cost ~600 rupees. Secondly, although the location is nice and peaceful there is little to do in the local area. They rent bicycles and motorbikes which are essential for exploring the local area. It’s also very muddy so bring some gear that doesn’t matter and decent walking shoes. There is also a serious amount of insects, normal for a rural spot, but they do invade the living space a lot making it pretty uncomfortable to chill outside. Bring plenty of repellent.
