CAMPIA — Hotel in Tamil Nadu

My friends and I recently visited this place for a holiday. It's located near a small waterfall, which is a nice feature. However, there are some significant drawbacks. There's no designated parking, and the roadside parking can be unsafe for our cars. The caretaker's behavior was particularly disappointing - they were rude and really ruined our holiday experience. If you're solely looking to see the waterfall, this might be okay for you. But if you're seeking a peaceful and enjoyable holiday experience, I'd recommend avoiding this place. We booked Campia, Kookal – Kodaikanal, and the stay was very disappointing.

Parking Problem: There’s no proper parking, we had to leave our car on the roadside at our own risk.

Unclean Washroom: The restroom was dirty, and the flush didn’t work properly.

No Safety: The room door didn’t have a proper lock, so we felt unsafe the whole night.

No Facilities: There was no heater in the bathroom, which made it very uncomfortable. When we came, there was a power cut and not even a power backup was available. We stayed the whole night without power.

Isolated & Unsafe: Except for us, no other guests were there. Even the last person staying checked out, which made the place feel very unsafe.

Overall: Very bad experience. Totally not...

We stayed at Campia, Kookal – Kodaikanal, and it was terrible:

Parking only on the roadside at your own risk.

Dirty restroom which is 30mts away from room, room is made of only sheets, no flush, no heater, no power backup. No emergency lights. Only shaky bunk beds available. The room has stinky odor. Only good thing they promote for this stay is their private waterfalls which also only for the photogenics. Algae is very high and we can't bath rather just sitting. The place is 15 mins trekking like walk from the road.

No safety — door lock broken and we were the only guests there.

The place felt unsafe and poorly maintained. Highly NOT recommended....
