Cliff View Resort Yercaud — Hotel in Tamil Nadu

Recently, I travelled from chennai to Yercaud by my car stayed at cliff view resort from Jun 15 to Jun 17, 2024. I'd booked the accommodation well in advance over phone, speaking to Mr Vel Murgan. I did not find any problem while booking and he has booked the cliff view room (with balcony) from where you can have the nice view of the hill and jungle. Suite was specious and comfortable. Staff were also supportive and courteous. They also arranged a local driver for my car to visit near-by places. Location is also quite approachable. You are not too far and not too close to the city. Nature can be enjoyed staying a bit away from the city. Yes, of course, I want to point out the quality of food and time being taken for an order. The food quality was not satisfactory and they take longer time to serve . They "must" improve their food quality and delivery time. Over all a good stay in Cliff...

This review is based on my stay at the ground floor.

Things I liked:

Located at a decent distance from lake.

Rooms were maintained neat and clean.

They do room deliver food if requested.

The view from their restaurant is great and works for some casual photoshoots. Its ironic that "Valley view" rooms dont have a valley view but the restaurant has a similar one.

Things that I disliked:

Poor wifi connection speeds and coverage. Atleast for Jio and BSNL users, the mobile signal strength is almost nil. So one must be dependent on wifi for proper connectivity.

"Valley view" rooms in ground floor don't justify their name. All one can see is just some trees littered with some garbage around.

Over expensive foods (buffet type, unlimited, ₹ 250+tax per head) at a sub-par taste. I won't recommend eating here.

A beautiful property, located at a charming location at Yercaud. The rooms are decent, few that faces the cliff view stands better than the rest. The food was good, and the free breakfast offered quality food to kick start the day.

With all good about the resort, there were a few sufferings, electricity backup responded 10 to 15 minutes after the power cut, WIFI was there but did not provided internet after sometime, the room we stayed in, lacked controls for the air conditioner.

The staff was well behaved accept the manager who was quite arrogant to answer some questions.

To summarize, it is a good place to stay, with an awesome view of the cliff and nice food, a decent room, but lacked luxury.
