My stay was for 2 days with family of 5 people..The day we checked in the room was not clean no toiletries in the washroom by toiletries I mean not even hand-wash available..it was a two room family room with two washrooms.One washroom door was defective 2-3 people need to push it from outside to open the door. There is geyser timing even during winters. They didn't keep the room clean even the dustbin from previous stay was not replaced..After 10 pm if you need something like pillows extra blankets or heater then obviously you will call reception or the number given by the management.. But to your surprise no one will receive the call,some numbers unavailable and you will have to manage even if you are dying don't expect any help from hotel till next morning..Too unprofessional behaviour. So I complained the next morning and manager told me he will take care of everything himself and when I came back after sightseeing the next day my room was clean as said.I was happy but no dinner available after 9.30 pm..You will have to be on mercy of the Surya village if they allow you can eat there or again go in city.. So I forgot to tell you guys and even I didn't realise as was busy finding dinner that they removed the heater...no extra blankets n for 5 people only 4 pillows..I did ask for pillow before going for dinner.. But they don't listen sometimes..and again after 10pm no one will receive on the reception so I had to walk around 11.30pm to their next reception where guys where playing music n having gala time..but they did cater to my request and gave me one pillow and blanket but jo heater which they removed when they cleaned the room!!!! Next day morning was heights!!! No electricity no hot water telephone dead! Couldn't charge phone,camera battery and the whole day couldn't take pictures...this part disappointed me the most.. Just never go to this place if it's not for free.. I wish I had taken the opposite hotel Surya village as they looked more professional or even any Oyo room which is less costly and have great service.. Please change your name "fairstay".. 1 star for location..

The management is such a liar that they cannot agree to their inefficient service and 1 star rating that they will lie on comment saying we didn't pay for extra person when we did pay and they gave us room keys only after paying 1200 for extra person in front of Mr Frederick and Muttu..Get your facts clear before posting anything on public forum Mr anubh something... CONs: Overpriced No WiFi (only available in the reception area, they want you to book the reception area not the rooms) No Hot water (2 hrs in the morning and 2 hrs in the evening) Food quality is the worst I have ever seen in any hotel. Utensils are pathetic. Rooms are not clean Linens are very dirty Water drops from ceiling and walls Smelly rooms Not properly lighted to hide the water on the walls Passageways are very dirty. Restaurant is not easily accessible Access road to the hotel from the main road is a nightmare for the drivers as well as for pedestrians. Charge the whole price at the time of check-in. I
If after facing all the problems, you want to move to some other hotel, they will not refund.

I am compelled to write again because of the vague reply of the UN-FAIRSTAY to my review posted earlier. This reply is after their failure to make me takedown my review comments. They contacted me multiple times (I have all the proof) and offered me full refund and complimentary stay in a future visit to Ooty. I denied and stood by my review of Fairstay. They could have refunded my balance amount when I wanted to move to another hotel. Friends, I assume (anyone with common sense would also believe) that most of the good reviews of Fairstay are posted by their own staff or procured with refund or complimentary stay.
Dear UN-Fairstay, you must not worry about what happens to the guest on the way to the hotel. You must not give false reasons/justifications (COVID-19 protocol, travel stress) for my bad review. I did not say anything about the breakfast yet. You accept the reality and try to improve the condition of your hotel. Whatever reply you have given are all false and only intended to show the guest in a bad light. to cover their mistake on this platform.
I can prove all the 13 points I have mentioned in my review. Do not make me post all the videos and photos of the pathetic condition of your hotel. Any more reply to this post will force me to post videos and photos. You can not proof the justifications given here of my bad...
Read moreAs response by Hotel they are totally lied. As per him towels on shelf I don't see. I have proof on pics and see the wall of the room attached in photo. And manager asking us to leave hotel at night 8 PM by refunding all amount. At 8 pm where we can search the hotel we all family. Hotel manager lied totally. I have all call recordings, don't say anything.
1st review We visited Fairstay 3 star hotel for 2 days. But isn’t an even single star hotel. Just like a local hotel with zero star. They don’t have a proper management, less number of staff, and arrogant Manager. We called Manager before reaching to the hotel but They handover the room keys after half an hour because there is no one on reception for 20 to 25 min. after that they change the rooms 3 times. They didn’t know the geyser working or not in the rooms. There is fungus in room walls, hairs spreading on the beds. They given the towels and other essentials after 1 hr (asked for 7-8 times) For breakfast and dinner they don’t have the numbers of dishes and bowls. We needed to take curry items in water glass. For dinner hotel Manager gave us a menu in that he mentioned tomato soup, but at real time of dinner we didn’t find the soup. By asking hotel manager he replied we don’t have the tomatoes and we didn’t get the tomatoes in Ooty. You can find the level of Manager from this. After this we complained this to our Traval agent. You can’t imagine after that hotel manager what did. In the evening after reaching to hotel he refused to give room keys and said check out from the hotel arrogantly. After speaking with travel agent manager gave us a room key. In last day we wanted to check out early so we get up from bed by 6 am and we didn’t get the hot water for bath till 8 am. Between this 2 hr Manager just saying water tank is empty, then said motor is not working. This type of management level hotel have. They not deserve single star.
