Very Disappointing Experience – Not Recommended for Marriage Functions
I recently booked Hotel Anithaparithiban for a marriage function, and I am extremely disappointed with the entire experience. What should have been a joyful and memorable occasion turned into a stressful and embarrassing event due to poor management and services.
Poor Room and Hall Management: The room arrangements were not handled properly. Most importantly, the AC in the party hall was not functioning properly, and despite multiple complaints, the hotel management failed to provide any proper response or solution. This caused a lot of discomfort to our guests. Very Poor Food Quality: I had placed an order for 450 plates of vegetarian lunch at ₹475 per plate, expecting decent quality for the price. Unfortunately, the food was of very poor quality—bland taste, poor presentation, and not at all up to the mark. Many of my relatives were highly dissatisfied with the food served. Lack of Accountability: There was no proper coordination or accountability from the hotel staff or management throughout the event. It felt like they were not concerned at all about customer satisfaction.
Because of these issues, I lost face in front of my relatives and guests. I had trusted this hotel to host one of the most important events in our lives, and the experience was a...
Read moreTerrible experience at the veg restaurant of this hotel. While it is clean, the staff were initially respectful, they cannot communicate clearly.
Initially said they are not serving vada/idly which is what we wanted to order. So we ordered soup + a thali, clearly asking if we can share it, to which the server replied it’s okay. We asked what’s involved in the thali and he said there’s an ice cream and gave us diffferent flavors and we chose one Waiter asked again is this is really all we want and we said again we were looking for snacks, so he went inside and asked and they accommodated the vada but we could no longer share apparently Food comes out. Soup is fine. Thali is very spicy, instead of ice cream we get a milkshake. Person eating the thali couldn’t eat that and we didn’t want to waste the food so asked for an extra plate, but they now kept insisting its not allowed to share since it’s unlimited per person. We explain that we don’t want more food, just to not waste what’s been already served. They’d rather pack it - however we have 2 hours of travelling ahead of us. So we finish what we can and proceed to leave, already upset at this point The milkshake which we didn’t even want to order was charged as an extra drink!
If you aren’t a local or cannot communicate in the local language I do not recommend...
Read moreI’ve never been so deeply disappointed in a hotel experience.
Incessant Inconvenience From the moment I checked in, nothing went right. The front desk staff was unhelpful and completely unprepared. They had misplaced my reservation and demanded extra fees despite a confirmed booking. I ended up waiting 45 minutes just to get into my room.
Completely Unreliable Wi‑Fi The advertised “high‑speed Wi‑Fi” was a joke. It dropped out every few minutes, buffering every video call and download. After multiple complaints, the staff offered a “reset”—but nothing improved. This made working remotely impossible and ruined my plans.
Insect Infestation 😱🐜 Worst of all: bugs. I found roaches crawling on the bathroom floor, and tiny ants marching across the desk. Disgusting. When I raised it, the staff response was passive: “We’ll send someone” (spoiler—they never did). I refused to bring my suitcase near the floor and slept with light on from sheer nerves.
Final Verdict This place is a dumpster fire: broken tech, unreliable Wi‑Fi, rude staff and manager, and a bug problem. I left early and I will never set foot in this hotel—or its chain—again. Consider this a warning: book far, FAR away from...
