Kairos is an aesthetically designed luxury resort with three elegant villas and 12 tastefully furnished rooms, privileged with a rare, graceful view of the hill valley in a 3.5 acre farm with at least a couple of hundreds of trees and rare plants - most of them flowering and fruit bearing. Kairos is the perfect holiday haven for a group of 50 to 70 persons. Of course, we also welcome smaller families and teams as well. THE SPACE VILLAS: There are three exquisitely designed luxury villas in Kairos. Each of these villas can accommodate 6 to 10 persons. All the villas have a spacious living room, three large bedrooms – two on the ground floor and one on the first floor with an attached toilet in each. All the rooms are elegantly furnished to ensure utmost comfort coupled with taste. There are also two balconies, a sit out, an open terrace and a lush private garden in every villa. The villas can accommodate 25 persons in all. ROOMS: The newly constructed luxury rooms are cozy and snug and can accommodate 2, 3, or 4 persons in each room. All the rooms in the ground floor have individual entrances to ensure privacy and peace. There are six rooms on the first floor with two common hallways. 3 of these rooms open into one common hallway and the other 3 into another. Hence they are ideal nests for a perfect, fun and frolic holiday both for a small family of 3 or a larger family of 6 to 10 people. These 12 rooms can house a group of 30 to 40 persons in all. Read moreFound TGI Kairos while looking for two nights accommodation at Yelagiri. Rate they offered was attractive. So, we booked a Premium room for three of us for two nights including breakfast. Booking was done online.
The property is located around 3 kms off Nilavur road, approximately 5 kms from Yelagiri town. It's close to Fundera Bird Park and Selfie Panda. The roads/access to the property is pretty decent.
Accommodation is inside a live garden full of fruit bearing trees like jack fruit, mango, sappotta, etc. Reception is at the lower end near the road side and rooms are at an elevation. Premium rooms are accessible via a flight of stairs while the villas are just below the parking.
Since we visited in summer, first thing you notice is there is no air conditioning in the rooms. Looks like none of their rooms/villas have air conditioning. Once you keep the balcony windows open you get a nice breeze and it's not that bad. But we cannot keep the main door open for cross ventilation since there are big mosquitoes, especially in the evenings. Luckily it rained on the first night of our stay and it was pleasant through the night. But, we had difficulty in sleeping on the second night. Manager Mr. Mani mentioned that they have received lot of feedback and passed them to the management for consideration. By the way, Mr. Mani was very friendly and helpful whenever we needed something. He also arranged a jack fruit and some mangoes upon on prescribed payment.
Rooms are relatively small for three people. Found the maintenance not very great. The wash basin water faucet was without filter and water was splashing all over. The power sockets were loose.
But, where they score is the quite village location and the abundance of fruit and flowering trees. It's a blessed experience sit in the balcony (though a very small one) any time of the day, surrounded by tree tops and a breeze going around most of time. The place is so quite and away from all noise pollution that we can hear people talking even at far away distance, birds chirping, cocks crow or cows and sheep call.
Breakfast (and other meals) is served to the room on weekdays and om Saturday. Sunday (when there were more guests) breakfast was in the dining hall near reception. Breakfast mainly consist of idli, dosa, vada, pongal(only in buffet), upma(only in buffet), tea, coffee, cut fruits(only in buffet), fruit juice (only in buffet). You can ask for bread and/or omlette which will be served to your room or at the buffet. Food is delicious and service if pretty good. We ordered ala carte dinner twice, mainly fulkas, daal tadka and curd rice. Turned out to be pretty decent.
We felt the room and food rates are slightly more than they are worth.
Overall, a nice place to relax amidst a nice garden ambience, except for air conditioning, small rooms and slightly not good...
Read moreHi Everyone,
Please do not visit this resort. I’m currently staying here, and I want to share my experience to help others avoid the same mistake.
This is not a resort by any standard—it’s run worse than a basic local hotel. We’ve had no power for over an hour, and they switched off the generator instead of turning it on. I tried calling the manager, but their phone is switched off. My baby has been crying non-stop in the dark, and I had to use my phone's torchlight to go to the front reception—no one was there.
Here are some of the major issues we faced:
Terrible service – There’s no phone in the room to contact reception or room service. You must call the manager directly, and network issues make this even harder. There’s no proper Wi-Fi either.
Unresponsive staff – I had to keep complaining from the moment we checked in. Only after multiple complaints did they switch our room.
Self-service for everything – Need drinking water? Walk to the reception and ask. Want anything else? Expect to do it yourself.
False promises about food – We booked the room for two days with complimentary breakfast included, but now they are saying that since no one else is staying here, breakfast is cancelled, and they are charging ₹250 per person for tomorrow’s breakfast. Why should we pay again for something we already paid for? This is misleading and unacceptable.
Poorly maintained amenities – The games and other facilities are in bad condition, and nothing is managed properly.
Basic room issues – No towel, no dental kit, no floor mat when we arrived. The room had a bad odor, and even after asking, they didn’t provide room spray.
We paid over ₹15,000 for two nights, expecting decent service and amenities. This place does not deserve to be called a resort. It’s more like a poorly run budget lodge.
If you’re planning a family trip, please avoid this place. You’ll end up doing everything on your own and regretting your...
