Avoid This Place – Unprofessional & Rude Staff

I had a terrible experience staying at Murali’s Kudil on Feb 24, 2025, with my family, including elders and small children. We booked two rooms directly via phone, and the hotel initially seemed reasonable. They confirmed our check-in and check-out times and quoted a total price of INR 3,800 (INR 1,600 for one room, INR 2,200 for the other).

Check-in at 5 AM went smoothly, and we even paid an advance of INR 1,000. However, the issues started soon after. Different staff members kept questioning our checkout time, making us uncomfortable. The worst part came at night when I was vacating one room. The receptionist treated me as if I was running away without paying, using rude gestures despite our payment agreement being noted in their register. My parents were still staying in the second room, and it was clear that both rooms were to be settled together.

Things escalated further when the staff started shouting and creating a scene, demanding that we either vacate the second room early in the morning or pay extra—something that was never mentioned during booking. Their tone and behavior were outright insulting. In the end, my parents were forced to check out at 7 AM, even though we had paid for the room until 12 PM.

While the rooms are decent, the staff completely ruin the experience. Their dishonest pricing tactics and appalling behavior make this place unworthy of the good ratings it has. If you value respect and a hassle-free stay, avoid this hotel...

Booked 7 rooms for my relatives 1 month in advance.paid about 30% as advance about 3 weeks before the stay. What do you expect in return ? A peaceful check-in, pleasant stay ? Not here at Murali's Kudil. Constant bombardment of calls throughout the day and NIGHT (yes, at 10.30 pm on one occasion) demanding to pay the rest of the bill a week before. The calls stopped only after we managed to get hold of the owner and complained about this issue. Coming to the rooms itself Pros ++ Clean Spacious rooms Comfortable beddings Cost Cons-- The property in itself is not spacious (lobby, Verandah, reception areas) No shops, restaurants near by

If the issue with payment call has not happened,I would have easily given a 4 or even a 5 star rating.

I truly hope the issue is not...

Location is great. Rooms are tidy, clean and well maintained. TV and AC are in excellent condition. Bed is big and enough for almost 3 adults. But space is slightly cramped especially in the room where I stayed, had almira's door which almost collided which the switch board. The owner/ manager was very polite and helpful. Temple is very nearby which is a plus. You have to walk some 100 meters for a tea shop. And nearest Good hotel is around 250 meters away at least. We enjoyed our stay there. And one more thing, there is no covered car parking but there is enough space nearby to park. In summer your car might get very hot. That's the only negative i...
