I had the pleasure of staying at Shakti Homestay in Vilpatti, Kodaikanal, on May 9th and May 10, 2024, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. This homestay truly deserves a glowing 5-star rating for its exceptional quality and service.

Upon arrival, I was immediately impressed by the cleanliness, modernity, and spaciousness of the rooms. The newly built accommodations were well-maintained and provided a comfortable retreat amidst the tranquil beauty of the Kodai hills. The clean toilets and the 24-hour availability of hot water added to the convenience and comfort of our stay.

One of the standout features of Shakti Homestay is the caretaker/host, Mr. Raja, whose friendly and helpful demeanor made our experience truly special. He was always available to assist us with any needs or queries, ensuring that we felt welcomed and cared for throughout our stay.

As a family traveling with a 10-month-old baby, we greatly appreciated the accessibility to the kitchen, which allowed us to easily prepare baby food and attend to the needs of our little one. While the homestay itself does not offer food services, we found it convenient that there were a couple of restaurants within walking distance, providing us with dining options.

We were a group of friends and had a good 2 nights stay. The property has 6 rooms and it is better to call the manager before booking to see the rooms available, especially while booking for groups. We could not get all three rooms on the same floor. All rooms come in deluxe names, but a few of them are large rooms with small but useful balconies.

Stay was very nice. Very neat and clean room. Owner is humble and professional. We can get our food delivered here through Zomato and swiggy. This room has Mi TV and screen casting is working fine wifi is reachable.

Overall there is no negative point. If you have bike or car this is the best place to stay since it is 5km from kodaikanal busstand anyways near to vilpati bus stop but not sure about...
