Hotel Nova Inn — Hotel in Uttar Pradesh

It was my first trip to Mathura and also first ever hotel stay surprise. As per photos published on web, I booked it online. The hotel itself is very close to Mathura Railway station ( 5 Minute walk after crossing overhead bridge).||||Now let me start with my stay experience which I have shared below:||||POSITIVES:||The hotel is located on main road but it is inside the narrow lane after two buildings just opposite Hanuman Temple.||The outer look of hotel looks nice as well inside look. The reception and all 3 floors were clean.||We traveled by public transportation but saw that they have limited but own parking space which is safe as they pull down and lock the shutters in night.||I found housekeeping staff to be very courteous and well behaved as well Front Desk Manager.||Check-in was fast and smooth even we reached 30 minutes before check-in time, Reception Manager allotted us a room.||||NEGATIVES:||||We booked Standard AC/Deluxe rooms for one night stay. Interior of room is nice but is not clean as per the price range and hotel size. The rooms are smaller in size and the height of bed was very low. I found wire hanging near door, empty hole down to TV not having any socket and some more minor things which can be avoided.||On arrival, We were allocated room 306 which we found to have dirty bed sheet having hairs on it and yellowish dirty quilt cover. After we spoke to reception, housekeeping guy came to show us another room just in front of 306 but we denied as it was similar to one we were having.||We asked them to change the cover and bed sheet which they happily did and I appreciate the housekeeping guy who was well mannered. The bath towel was rough and torn which looked like as it was not changed since years. We got towels changed but it was not having much difference.||The air-condition was fine but was only throwing cool air expect cooling the whole room. Bathroom was okay and clean but the hand faucet was coming out as it was fixed into the tiles with wood. Water pressure was very in both W.C. & hand faucet but for shower, It was okay. Food we didn't took hence can't comment.||||For the price paid , We could have got a better hotel in the area even at lower price. My overall stay experience was not that nice as expected. We checked in on 30/oct/18 as a walk in. The person sitting on the reception gave us a rate of Rs.2400 With dinner and breakfast if we pay in cash and if we want to pay by card Hotel will charge us 12% extra as GST. well we checked in and stayed in room which was ok but bedsheet was full of stains. which I told the person who came with us to escort us to the room and he cooly said that its ok no problem. In the evening when we enquire of our Dinner we were informed by the reception staff that it is fixed meals. Only two types of Thali was available one was brijwasi with 4 rotis and other one was Gujrati with 3 rotis , We are surprised how come hotel can tells us or in other worde put ration on our food consumption. We quietly went out for our Dinner. we asked us for a extra pillow which was never delivered to our room. Next day while checking out when we told the reception about our dinner which we have not taken and asked them not to charge. Initially they refused but after some time they paid us Rs.300 back. One Can smell too much of arrogance in the hotel staff. Over all very bad exeperience. will not recommend this...

It was worst nightmare for us in Hotel Novan Inn. We attended a wedding ceremony and the arrangements,staff were all pathetic. No AC working, No Cleanliness , Often light will go and to your surprise no power backup. We had Booked bulk of rooms there and to our surprise, they haven't given us all of them and instead they gave to others.They were truly doing all sorts of frauds. They had their so called in house restaurant but if you ask for only tea also then they will make excuses not to serve. what surprised us more is that they even didn't bothered to serve you drinking water and only make you buy expensive mineral water bottles. Moreover for extra services they take only cash. They will not provide extra bedding even if you had already given them advance notice at the time of booking. In early morning hours,the staff usually forgets to pump water in their tankies leading to water shortage in washrooms too.
