Ideally, i would like to give 3.5/5 for the whole experience CONS: Lets discuss this first as this will really annoy you Rooms: Quite small and smaller than the optimum sizes, we were three in a deluxe room including our 15 months old kid, it was really inadequate space and literally you will need to face a lot of difficulties to navigate and keep things inside the room Washrooms: Again very small and less than optimum space for taking shower. The room size they mention in the travel websites is wrong, the size is hardly 130 m2. Room service: Horribly slow and awful, if you are checking in even at night you can prepare yourself for delay in check-in due to the unavailability of the rooms. The house keeping persons are horribly short in numbers and they cant cop up to the increased guest loads. This needs to be improved significantly. Front desk people are also quite slow and lack proper efficiencies. Most importantly we stayed for 3 nights and one of the days they didn't clean our rooms also which is hugely disappointing. Maintenance: Poor again as our door lock was defective and they couldn't fix it.

PROS: Locations- It is very near to IP sigra mall in Varanasi, so its easy to locate and commute from here. Any notable destinations of Varanasi is around 15-20 minutes from here. Most importantly you will get the uber auto and uber cabs easily without much waiting. In room dining and buffet breakfast- Quite sumptuous and good, the breakfast spread had puri/kachori sabji, aloo/paneer paratha, Idli/sambar, bread/butter/jam/omellete, fresh fruit slices, poha/upma, a sweet dish and coffee/tea. In room dining is costly but quality was good and most importantly served fast. Room amenities- Satisfactory and the washroom amenities particularly was good Cleanliness: Satisfactory

So choose this hotel if you are travelling alone, especially for business travel and communication is important. It is around 45 minutes from airport and 10-15 minutes from Varanasi Junction station. We a group of 4 including parents visited Hotel R K Grand in June 2023.

Initially, I was skeptical about booking it since I had seen some negative reviews. So I experimented initially for one day. Booked 2 rooms for one day.

The staff was warm and welcoming. Rooms allotted were good. (304 & 310). Cleanliness and amenities were good. For me, dampness in hotel room is a BIG no and thankfully, there was no such issue.

Rooms were neither small nor big. All those who have been critical of room size must not forget that the hotel is a 3Star property and budget hotel. If one is coming here with Taj or Oberoi Hotel like expectations, they may get disappointed.

Located opposite Sigra police station and IP Mall, the hotel is accessible. The area is safe and secure. Eventually, we ended up staying there for 4 nights. Food offered was good. Room service and pricing could have been better. Air ventilation in rooms would be a nice idea to implement.

I will just say in summary, PLEASE DO NOT PLAN TO STAY IN THE HOTEL EVER. Now coming to the detailed review - We reached hotel in the morning on 9th September 2022..Inspite of multiple requests they didn't agree for early check-in (which we understood could possibly be because of demand /supply).. We were then moved to a room where the water was not present in the bathroom.. After we vigorously complained, our room was changed.. However now they decided they wanted to screw us further.. When we asked for water, they provided insect laden water and then had to request to change it.. After all the problems, the manager further "requested" to leave the room an hour before standard time and threatened to charge us double. We called go ibibo, however they said they can't help as we didn't choose 3 people instead of 2 (for two rooms). We had such harrowing experience at this hotel that we wanted to complaint to police but then we had rush back for our train... PS: the hotel manager prefers playing candi crush rather...
