Hotel Royal 9 & Banquet — Hotel in Uttar Pradesh

Okay so I ended up in this property out of desperation. Actually I was travelling from Dehradun to Delhi in my EV which have a range limitation of roughly 300 km. Normally it's not a problem because I top up the charging in Khatauli but on the day it was different. Right from chutmalput the road were diverted for the traffic for the Kawar yatris. So the new route that we were allowed was much longer and really bad. I somehow reached Meerut with 30% battery remaining at 10 PM. To our shock the MG Meerut does not have a EV charger on site which really made things difficult for us. So travelling with family, in darkness, low battery and pouring rain, and no idea if the route to Delhi further on was normal or had more surprises. I had no choice but to find a place to stay and deal with the situation the next day. So a quick search for a place to stay brought us to Royal 9. We found the place to be tidy and the food was great. BTW it's vegetarian only. The best thing about the place was the senior management, the GM himself came out of the office and promised me that my car will be charged fully before I leave in the morning. They moved heaven and he'll but got that done with a makenshift charger . I'm very pleased with the hotel, food and staff of Royal 9. Well done gents and...

I had my exam in FIT campus in Meerut. Unfortunately, this is the 'only' hotel within the close proximity of the centre. Rest, all hotels are 30-40 mins away (no matter whatever they claim).

Having said that, the Hotel Royal 9 takes the full advantage of the fact that they are the 'only available option' in the said location. No doubt, the overall ambience of the hotel is classy and luxurious, the staff is very high headed. Service is poor with no availability of heater and even quilts in the bone crackling winter of January! And this, I'm talking about their Presidential Suite!

Charging a heck of an amount (which is obvious for a presidential suite) and still mistreating and judging their customers.

We had to call them multiple times for even basic amenities like tea and coffee packets.
