Hotel Silver Dew — Hotel in Uttarakhand

I didn’t have expectations of a expensive hotel but still had a bad experience with this hotel. There are two kids seems like they are under age are maintaining it, the owner comes and goes away. While it is a cheaper option but still they don’t provide basic services like clean rooms, sheets were not so clean. The almira was dirty from the inside, TV wasn’t working, only one room had a fan, that too the owner thought it was a luxury to have a fan in a room, the toilet seat was broken, the doors were very dificult to close from the inside, I hurt my fingers while trying to lock the catch, there were bugs or ants not sure they bit me while I was on the bed. Worst part is the food, I only ordered dal and roti, told them not to make it spicy or oily, look at the pics, burnt rotis dal cooked in oil instead of water, then there was too much of salt in it I couldn’t eat. That’s what happens if a kid...

I booked it online. And they took money to book it. I told that I need to check the rooms so he said that you can cancel the room upto 6oclock on 9th June. I reached there yesterday, and cancelled the booking immediately after seeing the place at 4:15pm. Because it was very dirty, the person who booked it, was not there. After 15 calls, he picked the call. He told to refund the money but now he is not even responding to my calls and messages. It's a SCAM!!!! It's some person living in Delhi named Mr. Rakesh Garg. He may sound convincing over a call but never go for it. In fact there is a wonderful place named Junglee which will offer amazing facilities to you and the staff is very polite and supportive. More on that on Junglee's website. But NEVER...

Pathetic Services. The staff is not at all cooperative. The Room pictures that they have posted online are way to different from the actual one.

I have encountered a horrifying experience during my stay. I was there in Dec 2019. A small matter on the tissue(Yes! The tissue paper) got flared up and the staff took out the knife from the kitchen and started shouting at us. We were 5 in number so later on they called few localities and started threatening us. Somehow we managed to sort out the matter as it was 11pm. The very next day we checked out.
