I can't understand how the reviews here are so positive because they are drastically misleading. We booked seeing the reviews but had no idea we would have such a bad time. When we reached Kanatal, our point of contact refused to take our calls because he was busy and he had not shared the details of the resort manager with us. When we finally got through to him, he confirmed our booking and we set off to find the hotel. We couldn't for quite a while because the resort sign is hidden and nobody seems bothered. There is no parking. You just figure it out. Climb up the hill and arrive. We reached at 12 which is the check in time and waited ONE HOUR for our room. When we were finally given the keys, we discovered a dirty room, unchanged bedsheets, a bathroom that stank so much one could faint, and a dead scorpion on the chair outside. Awesome. The toiletries in the bathroom were used, there were no towels, and I had no faith that the water glasses were clean. When I asked for water in the room, I was told only 500ml of water was complimentary per day. The rest I would have to buy. So watch it, people. They will charge you for the water too. Finally went and ordered lunch because you can't call them. Got lunch after another hour. It was the only saving grace - fantastic cooking. That earned one star. The next morning we decided we had had enough and wanted to leave. Compared to the views Kanatal actually had to offer, this place did not have much. We got up at 7 AND HAD TO WAIT TILL 9 for the hotel staff to wake up and check us out. Breakfast was limited options and yet another disaster. I acknowledge that people are trying and learning, but if you can't offer hospitality, don't be in the...

Read moreNot sure how these reviews are so high and some stating 4 star hotel. This hotel is definitely not 4 star, maybe a 2 star. This hotel does not have Air conditioning. No pool as it states. The view is nice, but most hotels in this area has that. No direct parking at hotel as you have to climb up quite a bit to get to hotel.
The room door has gaps and will let insects in, the floor also has some gaps, bathroom smells that comes to the room, towels are like sandpaper, grass/shrubs around the property needs to be maintained. The electricity comes and goes every other hour, wifi regularly disconnects as well. Will get hot during day even with fan and is pleasant at night in June. Overall this hotel needs to...
