The Kanatal Orchids — Hotel in Uttarakhand

Sad experience, not an ideal camp for couples.We had booking for 2 nights but we decided to checkout overnight, we had no choice as we arrived at around 7.30pm and checked out 11am next morning. Before making my booking at the camp I had a detailed chat with the Owner Mr.Nikhil and I was particular about the occupancy at the camp(my personal preference) and was advised not to come for Thursday-Friday as occupancy would be less but come on weekend that is Friday-Sat which will be 60% occupancy so I planned accordingly but on reaching there were only 5 more people other than us and the entire camp looked haunted.Coming to the camps they are not Swiss from any angle, shady with hanging wires,bed of poorest quality as if you are sleeping on a wooden board with no mattress in between.Washroom has no towels and I don't think it is mentioned anywhere while making your booking.There was no drinking water given on our arrival or in camp and when I went into their kitchen area where they have RO bottle placed it was all empty and all their staff was sleeping and when asked one of their staff in morning don't you give water to people who come to your camps he said on request, I mean really? common I understand when you go for camp stay you don't expect luxury but man I was expecting basics.Coming to the view there is nothing great that you can see from the camp that you can't see from anywhere else in Kanatal(NO Himalayan View),drive from Mussorrie to Kanatal has some breathtaking views which is nowhere near from the camp. The only good thing we had at the camp was the Food, their chef is good who cooks amazing good taste food.First time in all the travel I made in my life I had to checkout before my checkout date, it was that bad.Book at your own...

I am giving 1 STAR because I don't have an option of lower to that. We have experienced rudeness whenever we asked for anything whether it is Hot water, please arrange some evening snack as we reached around 4:30 PM there the owner told us that "You will get evening snack at 7:00 PM". I don't know what kind of evening he is thinking starts at 7:00 PM.

Second, there is no water supply at bathroom and when you asked for it they give a bucket of water even if you are 4 person in one tent. NO COVID protocols or arrangement is there . NO HAND SANITISER nothing.

Third, people come there to enjoy, I don't what they people think. There is around lower than Zero degree Celsius temperature and our group were sitting there and we asked for more logs of woods, owner reply on that was "Hum to PANI daal dete hai jo jal bhi rahi hoti hai LAKDIYAN, 10 baje tk hum to PANI dalkr aag bhujakr SONE bhej dete hai". This kind of reply we got from the person who is the owner of the camp.

Fourth, The food is not good, If you compare the camping at Rishikesh with this. This is the worst.

Fifth, This is really Far, If you are thinking of going there from like 60km this is really not worthy instead of it, you can go Rishikesh, Dhanualti, Musoorie.

Sixth, There is no such arrangements for sleeping, bed sheets are bad, blacket are bad. For the sake of warmness they just give you Electric heating bags. ISSE JITNI SARDI ROK SAKTE HAI ROK LO.

Apart from winter season, If you guys asked whether is it worth to go in Summer then I will say a big 'NO' kyunki jab wahan sardi mein bathroom mein pani nahi hai to garmi mein to matlb hi nahi banta.
