we planned for a pilgrimage trip to vallarpadam church. thats why i selected this hotel as it is very close by. while looking for tariff online portals shows Rs.1200 - Rs.2000 per night includes breakfast and taxes. My train on next day was at evening and as their check-out time is 12.00 Noon, i called hotel directly and asked them for the possibilities of late checkout next day ,as i am checking in by 7.00 pm only. a person who was in night shift shiju / shinu (cant remember the name exactly) said that late checkout is not possible if i book through online portals, instead if i book directly that he can offer the same discounted tariff and late checkout also.i have agreed for that and he offered Rs.2500/- for 2 Rooms.|||| The next day around 3 at the evening i have called the hotel again for reconfirmation of my booking. Receptionist Ms.Meenu picked my call and she said that they didn't have any booking in my name. I was shocked!!! then i have explained the whole conversation with night shift person last night and special tariff quoted by him. after my long explanation, she agreed to give rooms for me and with the same tariff that their night shift person offered(Rs.2500/- for 2 rooms).|||| Around 7 at the evening i reached hotel and while check -in meenu and another women also there. They asked for advance and i tried to pay with my card, they demanded cash, as i had Rs.2000 in my hand i gave it to them and said pending Rs.500 i will pay at the time of check-out. they agreed For that and alloted rooms for us.||||Though the Minibar doors in room is broken, wardrobe is dirty , walls had stains we liked the rooms and stayed there. next day we went outside for church and my old in-laws were inside the room. and around 3 at the evening they called my in-laws and asked them to check-out. Knowing This i called hotel and they said they have some other booking and we need to checkout immediately. though i lose my patience i understood them and agreed to vacate one room and did it.|||| Around 5.30 at the evening we were getting ready to checkout and there was no hotwater in bathroom, the answer was no hot water by this time. we took a c therold shower and went for check out in hurry as i need to catch my train shortly and my taxi was waiting. while asking for bill they simply tried to swipe Rs.3000/- (Rs.2500 extra) in my card. i asked why, and the reply was shocking !!! they said that the tariff is Rs.2500/- per night. WHAT A CHEAT IT IS!!!! The person who took my booking both meenu and the night shift guy was not there. and they simply laughed at me saying "we said Rs.2500/- for 1 room only" and has not provided any Bill against it. i wonder whether they entered my name in ledger itself. As i was getting late i didn't argued much and paid and left the place.|||| "PLEASE DONT EVER BOOK WITH THEM DIRECTLY IF YOU DARE TO...
Read moreStayed at this hotel for 2N and it was ok ok experience. It’s little old hotel and little away from city. rooms are not spacious, but 1-2 nights are fine, as ppl usually go out during day. Parking is available. Main problem is they don’t have enough staff to support customers. They are understaffed and they also feel like leaving the job due to issues at the hotel. When we checked in to the hotel this week, there was no hot water in bathroom. We were asked to adjust with cold water as their heater was under repair. For adults it’s still fine considering the climate, but for kids hot water was needed. So we asked hotel guys to provide hot water separately in a bucket. Only one guy was taking care of work at reception when we checked in, same guy came to room to provide extra mattress, same guy supplied hot water to rooms. This shows they are understaffed. Rooms are also not maintained well and linens, chairs in the room, walls, photo frames everything looks old with lot of stains and marks everywhere. Also water was looking yellowish and I’m not sure why water looks like this. May be they have not cleaned water tanks for years. There were no one to help with luggage also. Security guy just helped to keep our luggage half way from our vehicles to lift lobby. Again same single guy helped us to keep luggage in lift and we only got our luggage’s down during check out. Family restaurant is available in 2nd floor and food was tasty as well. Breakfast was limited to 1-2 options like bread omelette, poori or Puttu. This hotel also has a bar and evenings are crowded with many people visiting here. There is only one lift available to go to rooms and also to bar. This is where we as family felt uncomfortable, as lift was filled with cigarette smell always and also ppl waiting in lobby during evening times. Also there are no hotels near by if you want to have food outside. Shud go towards Cherai beach or to ernakulam.
Overall I would not recommend this hotel for a family and hotel guys should work towards improving the customer...
Read moreMy stay at this hotel was nothing short of a nightmare. Not only did I forget to retrieve my liquor, but to add insult to injury, my watch mysteriously vanished from the room. The sheer negligence displayed by the staff is astounding and reflects a complete disregard for the security of guests' belongings.
The unnecessary delay in addressing the issue, with the excuse of needing management approval, was needlessly frustrating and a blatant waste of time. The customer service was abysmal – a stark contrast to any semblance of hospitality. Their lack of urgency and empathy was deeply disappointing.
To top it off, when we finally mustered the patience to follow up after an agonizing hour, the second staff member we encountered exhibited a shocking level of rudeness. It was a stark reminder that, in addition to their needless delays, their overall customer service standards are appalling.
The fact that we had to resort to recording all calls to ensure accountability only underscores the lack of trustworthiness within this establishment. This hotel, with its poor customer service, negligent staff, and apparent indifference to guest concerns, is an experience I would not wish upon anyone. Avoid...
