Mare Blu Resort — Hotel in Vypin

My recent stay at here during the New Year season left me thoroughly dissatisfied, with the overall experience marred by poor service, misleading information, and unprofessional behaviour.

Upon booking a room for my husband, myself, and our brother through Agora, we were initially drawn to the resort's promises of amenities such as breakfast, a swimming pool, and a couple-friendly atmosphere, even welcoming unmarried couples. Unfortunately, the reality fell far short of these assurances.

Firstly, the room rate of 5000 INR per night for a couple, with an additional 5000 INR for an extra person, seemed exorbitant. When we inquired about the pricing, the manager failed to disclose that the room's actual value was much lower, ranging from 2500 to 3000 INR during regular times.

Upon arriving at the resort, we were shocked to find that basic amenities such as toothpaste and a brush were not provided. When we requested breakfast, which was advertised on Agora, the staff initially refused, insisting it was available only who booked for 6000

Furthermore, we encountered a disturbing inconsistency regarding the resort's policies. While the manager claimed to be couple-friendly, we were later asked for a marriage certificate, an unnecessary and invasive demand that contradicted the earlier communication.

When we questioned the lack of mention regarding marriage certificates on any booking platform, the manager merely responded with a promise to update their information, without offering any apology for the inconvenience caused. The staff's attitude throughout our stay was unapologetically dismissive and exhibited a lack of accountability.

Moreover, the resort's discriminatory policy regarding accommodation for one girl and two boys in a room is unacceptable and reflects a cheap and narrow-minded approach to customer service.

Overall, our experience at mare blu was disappointing, with misleading information, hidden costs, and unprofessional behaviour overshadowing what should have been a joyous New Year celebration. I strongly advise potential guests to exercise caution and consider alternative accommodations with transparent policies and genuine commitment to customer...

If at all I would recommend any resort in Kerala to anyone across the globe, it would be none other than the Mare Blu Resort. The resort is located on the Cherai beach road. There are numerous other hotels/resorts in the vicinity but nothing to match this one. We were put up here for a couple of days. The resort manager was a wonderful person, always ready to go that extra mile to ensure that we were at home under his care. The waiting staff, most of them either semi or illiterate, who hardly spoke any other language other than Malayalam, which was alien to us, literally treated us like kings and surpassed the service standards rendered by even 5 Star hotels. Most of our conversation would be through sigh language or bits and pieces of hindi, the staff of Mare Blue Resort is simply par excellence! |Our most sincere thanks to the staff and management of the resort for having taken such good care of us during our stay. |I take this opportunity to wish Mare Blue, its staff and management nothing less than the very best in days to come. Why I disliked this place:

1. They claims 's a beach view resort.This resort is opposite side of the beach side.
2. No much parking facilities
3. Itd be better if the staffs show some manners to the customers, especially to those with families.(ps management,note that it's not our fault that if you'vnt cleaned the room or blocked the uncleaned rooms from online booking sites once the customer checkout.)
4. Toilet stinks(guess bcz the room was not cleaned before allowing the checkin)
5. Room too☝️🤦
6. They claim that the room have tv/cable connection etc etc (we couldn't find anything like that,not even a setup box🤷)
7. No tooth brush, toothpaste, no bath towel 🙅 in prior.You'll get all this by extra demanding(luckily we found a soap there🕺)
8. No bottled water(not sure about the purity of water the gave in a jar.but was okay.Hope it's boiled water..)
9. Breakfast on demanding (but its complimentary 😛) and limited 😒( but tastes okay)

We booked the room thru goibibo.Once we complained them about the issues we faced,they despite the time they were ready to pick the call up and returned our money without any hesitation.i really appreciate goibibo teams for...
