M plaza mandarmani — Hotel in West Bengal

I’ve a mixed experience here. We bave booked 2 pool access room which costs around 5300 per night per room, but the ac of 1 room (006) was faulty from the starting, they tried everything and at 6:30 pm they were able to fix it. Till the time we all 4 adults & 1 infant had to accommodate in another room all together . They were very humble & polite though, but before alloting room all parameters should be checked, also the sliding door was not get locked at night, if possible ,dont stay in that room. Tv was also not working in room 006. Oherwise its a new property, very clean, staffs are co operative, only 30 sec walking distance from beach. Breakfast platter was so so. Not bad. But their vapa hilsa and Chinese items (Mixed rice, mixed chomin, garlic chicken)were delicious, snacks (crispy honey chiken, chillinchicken dry)were also good. They were not serving tandoor items then. For the ac problem they have discounted us of Rs 618 and provided a free matress in the meantime to rest. They have baby grade food option also(Khichdi) But they didn’t provide free normal drinking water, only 2 bottle of 500ml were complimentary along with dental kit, toiletries and tea,coffee packs. Rooms are good enough, clean.. toilet of executive room is very small.. water heater for making tea/coffee was not clean..had to clean with hot tap water for 10 min before we could make our coffee.

nothing much nearby, main mandarmani beach is 3.5km from the hotel.. beach portion nearest to the hotel is walking distance of 3min but the road and the location is quite shady

safety wise good..no problem as such lunch was very good.. but chicken curry in dinner was very spicy for no reason. the main problem is that most of the items are not available in the menu including tandoor items, naans, biriyani, thalis, gulabjamun.. In desert only dahi was available..I guess the menu is just for showcasing. In dinner we got only tawa roti.. no other options available.

in breakfast limited options are there, puri sabzi, poha, boiled egg, bread butter, tea and watermelon slices are there for breakfast.. I would say not to fall into social media influencer vlogs. Better option is available with private beach in same tariff...

Pathetic experience.. One should refrain from visiting this resort at any cost! No wonder the resort is beautiful but “all that glitters isn’t gold” fits perfectly in this case! The infrastructure and maintenance is nothing but utter ridiculous. Extremely untrained staffs without any qualifications at all.. roaming around cluelessly. Floors of the rooms are dirty.. bathrooms full of soap. Same mop is used to mop the bedroom, bathroom and god knows what not! We had booked “room with pool access” and were told pool rooms are always this dirty.. imagine paying extra amount to stay at a specially dirty room. Breakfast spread has butter and jam and no bread.. they ran out of bread right at beginning of the breakfast which means they didn’t even bother to check their inventory.. they are THIS ignorant! They are definitely short staffed and even the ones that are there are untrained. If this keeps on going I don’t think anyone would want to re-visit this place. And I’ll make sure none of the people I know...
