Megha Beach Resort by RM HOTEL & RESTURANT PVT LTD — Hotel in West Bengal

The resort has a great location, right next to the beach and the staff is really well behaved and hospitable. The food is also quite good, to be honest. So no complains there but the other things are so bad, that I have no option but to rate this resort 2 stars. 2 stars I am only giving because of the staff and food. Otherwise I would have given it 1 star.

1. There is a sitting area in front of the beach but they won't let you drink there saying excise people will come and raid them. Does that even make sense? why fool customers like this? there are 200+ resorts in mandarmani and the excise people have no better job than raiding? and is it a crime to alcohol inside the resort premises? How come other resorts are allowing and only you guys are doing this?

2. The lawns and gardens are crying for beautification. It is so poorly maintained.

3. Rooms and bathrooms are the worst. The ac was not working, bathrooms have been made as if we live in 1990. Old mirrors and washbasin with no proper maintenance.

Will not recommend this resort to any one. For the location there is no point wasting 3000 rupees per night because 1- they wont let you drink inside their property in the sitting area in front of the beach 2- no beautification work done 3 - rooms and bathrooms are in very bad shape. 4 - the crowd there is mostly old people and boring families with kids. We went and stayed in this resort in second week of Jan.||||First, getting there - contrary to Google maps that show a long detour from the beach road to get there, it is a direct rough/kachcha road (instead of the right turn on main road as in Google maps) which is driveable. Watch out for a large hoarding with resort name, partially covered by a tree branch when we went there. Missed it, took the turn at first and then returned to find out the direct road.||||The resort is great for kids with slides, swings and see-saws. Nicely landscaped gardens and beach shacks at the front. The beach access is through a concrete area going down to the beach, conveniently walkable. There are around 20 accommodations comprising 3 cottage acco, all facing the large garden area.||||We took an AC family room (2 double beds) acco in ground floor (no.102). Booking was thru Agoda. Breakfast included. Ample parking in resort premises. All staff members were very cordial and helpful in every way possible.||||The room was spacious and clean. Chairs with a table is provided (great for in-room dining). Basic toiletries included were towels, soaps and shampoos. Only one point on what could have been better; the wash basin is in the washroom, so to access it you have to get into the washroom. If someone is using the washroom, another person cannot...

We arrived in India from Italy and we stayed at this property for 5 nights . Love the Beachfront and the privacy ! Beautiful sea view from our room ! My children are Italian and they dont eat spicy Indian food . The management was so kind to allow my maid ( care taker ) to enter there kitchen and cook the meals personally for my children . The staff , whether the cleaners, waiter or even the security guard outside the gate are very helpful and most importantly kind and humble and go out of there way to assist and make your stay comfortable. The manager is super kind . Overall i had an amazing experience. My kids really enjoyed it . Among 4 of my kids. My twins are very small and they made sure there was always hot water available for the formula milk even late at night . Very hard working staff . The Beachfront is just beautiful at night . It has its own charm and you can sit right infront and enjoy a drink and hear the waves . Thankyou so much for everything and your assistance.
