Oxytel is undoubtedly the best resort in Lataguri. There are many factors which makes it a class apart from the rest of the resorts in Lataguri. Location is excellent, right at the edge of Murti River. So, if you are lucky enough then you might spot a trumpet of elephants or a herd of bisons from your room itself all the while sipping tea/coffee. (P.S : If you are looking someplace close to the ticket counter then this place isn’t for you as it Murti River is close to 12-15 kms from the ticket counter) Sprawling lush green lawns are another factor which make the stay worthwhile. Very beneficial for families with small children or old people for their daily dose of Vitamin D. It has a dedicated play area for the children which is very well maintained. Another plus point for families with children. Beautiful ambience with the exterior of the building, the layout and lighting arrangements in the lawn contributing to it. Rooms are very spacious, well maintained, neat and tidy and aesthetically decorated. A small sitting area and an attached balcony has been provided with the bedroom if “Cottage” is opted for. Starting right from the colour palette of the room to the choice of ceiling fans, everything is in perfect harmony. Also, unlike other resorts of Lataguri, here you will find crisp white bedsheets and blankets which gives a very neat and sophisticated look to the room. Quality products of good brands have been provided in the rooms (bathroom fittings, rubber bathroom slippers, television set, electric kettle, air conditioner, geyser, exhaust fans etc.) Prompt room service with a personal touch to everything. Huge dining hall with aesthetically selected furnitures, crockery and linens. The breakfast spread was good and the service was prompt. The flavours were very balanced and the food tasted very good. I personally liked their veg/non veg sandwiches a lot. Courteous and friendly staff all the while maintaining a certain amount of professionalism and discpline. I would specifically mention the contributions of the manager of this resort who is a very nice and decent person and guides the tourists well regarding the safari timings as well as animal citing and even makes arrangements for the same on need basis.
We visited the resort on 26th November 2022 and had a really great time as family. There is a certain level of sophistication in everything which is missing from almost all resorts of Lataguri area. Thank you to the management and staff of Oxytel Resorts for making our stay wonderful and...

There is also a small children's play area. |The resort boasts of a swimming pool (max depth less than 5 ft) that overlooks the Murti River and provides a pristine view. |The River bank is ideal for idyllic walks where one can gaze at the Gorumara forest beyond the large green grazing tracts. The air buzzes with the multifarious calls of water birds and the loud resonant call of the peacock.|The food is delectable and the staff is courteous and helpful. Special mention for Mr. Shreejib Sarkar who goes out of the way to make your stay comfortable.||Some suggestions |1. The lawn could be a little more lighted to facilitate boarders staying out till late evening.|2. The pool requires regular maintenance and cleaning.|3. Sometimes the poori (luchi) is a tad bit on the oily side.|4. A shower curtain can prevent the bathroom from getting wet unnecessarily.|5. Keep your door and windows tightly shut as the light tends to attract insects in the evening (natural phenomena in the forest)||Overall, a wonderful experience. Highly...
