Green Tropical Village Hotel & Resort — Hotel in Billiton

I booked 3 nights Boutique Room at Green Tropical Village Belitung. I had terrible experience since check in. I arrived at 8pm and found out that there was other guess checked in my room. The hotel staff didn't recheck the name of reservation before gave away room key. I need to wait almost 1 hour until the room cleared up. |On the 3rd day, when I was away from the hotel, the hotel called and asked me to check out. In their system, I need to checked out on the 3rd day. Because I was away, they moved out my things to other room. I found out later that they made 2 invoices under my name. The previous for 2 nights, while the later for 3 nights. I raised my complaint to the manager, Pak Subhan over phone call (he was on vacation). He insisted on the invoice and did not accept that there was revised invoice for 3 nights. I was very disappointed on the unprofessionalism and improper respond of Pak Subhan. He kept making statement without checking his staff and documents first. |I was moved to Family Room. It was not recommended. The room was more expensive, but smaller size than boutique room -altough they have 4 beds (1 queen, 2 single)-, it was noisy because of sound of cars entering the hotel. |The hotel environment was good, they had 3 pools. But the bad hotel management has ruined...

This review covers two aspects, one the hotel proper & the other is the booking agent i.e. AirAsiaGo.||I booked 4 nites together with flight with AirAsiaGo on their maiden flight to Belitung. Hotel failed to inform that 2 out of 3 pools were under repair, with the children pool just half filled. Most amenities in room not up to standard. Soap/shampoo dispenser broken, air conditioning poor output, receptionist didn't explain any information regarding hotel facilities upon check-In. I decided to check out the next day (although I have paid for 4 nites) and booked another hotel for the next 3 nites (extra expenses). Otherwise my vacation will be destroyed. ||As fas as AirAsiaGo is concerned, I have written my concern about the above experience and requested some sort of refund or compensation for not informing me about the condition of the hotel they recommended. Guess what? I still have not heard from them. There goes the "Complain Management" arrangements.||It has not been a pleasant experience as such. ||My decision to book another hotel saved my vacation and enjoyed what Belitung...

I stayed on the 'village' room. The room and bathroom is clean and comfortable. The hotel area is wide. There are 3 swimming pools: 1 regular rectangle +/-2, 1 artistic shape 1.3 - 1.8m, and 1 right in front of business room only +/-1m. Basically the water is clear, but a bit lack of maintenance so you can see moss on a few spots of the pools.

However, the best feature for me was the garden. It was well maintained and so green and it feels so cool, contrast with the atmosphere outside the hotel which is very hot and dry. There are many saung, a place to talk and eat in the middle of the garden.

The breakfast was OK, with buffet style they provide toast, egg stall, chicken, fish, porridge, cereals, dessert stalls, coffee and tea, and juice. All in all this is a good place to rest with...
