I recently had the opportunity to stay at Inna Hotel in Tretes, and I must say that my experience left much to be desired. One of the major issues I encountered was with the location and layout of the standard rooms. These rooms are situated too far down the main building, requiring guests to embark on a long walk or navigate steep stairways. Not only was this inconvenient, but it also posed difficulties for individuals with mobility challenges or heavy luggage.
The steepness of the stairways was particularly concerning. It felt as though the architects had overlooked the importance of guest comfort and safety when designing these areas. Walking up and down those stairs became a tiresome task, especially after a long day of sightseeing or business activities. I strongly advise future guests to consider booking a deluxe room instead, as they are housed in a newer building and located much closer to the main facilities. This alternative would save you from the hassle of traversing the challenging stairways.
Apart from the issues with the room location, the overall design of the hotel was a disappointment. Inna Hotel attempted to merge a Japanese decor theme with a post-modern style building, and the result was far from cohesive. The clash between these two contrasting aesthetics created an atmosphere that lacked harmony and felt disjointed. It seemed as though the hotel management had not put sufficient thought into creating a consistent and pleasing ambiance for their guests.
While I understand that some hotels aim for unique and eclectic designs, Inna Hotel Tretes fell short in achieving this goal. The combination of Japanese elements with a post-modern building simply did not work in this case. It left me wondering if the hotel had opted for this design purely for the sake of being different, without considering the impact on guest experience.
Overall, I cannot recommend Inna Hotel Tretes to potential guests due to its standard rooms being located too far down the main building, necessitating an inconvenient walk or strenuous climb down steep stairways. Moreover, the mismatched design choices, blending Japanese decor with a post-modern style building, failed to create an appealing and harmonious environment. I would suggest exploring alternative accommodations in the area that prioritize guest comfort and offer a more cohesive...
Read moreRoom: First impression, it was an old room with modification, totally unlike the pictures shown on the web. The Junior Suite Room Gelatik had a small living room, bed room, bathroom. The living room had a large table with 4 chairs, while the bedroom had a king size bedroom which is quite comfortable, the bedroom did not have any air conditioning, It was positioned in the living room resulting a very hot at night. Cleanliness of the room was bad. There were air vents with mosquito filters but they were dusty. The dresser smelled like old wood, The bathroom was the worst. There were 2 cockroaches and ants everywhere. The drain was overflowing water when you tried to empty the tub. Mobile Signal Coverage: You would probably suffer from bad signals here except for Telkomsel. Complimentary Wifi was capped at 128KB/s (1Mbps) with high latency. Yard: Had a plenty playground, small pool, and a large one. The play area was not well maintained. The only other thing you can enjoy here was the pool. At night it was really dark. Little Tokyo: It was a small garden (around 100m²) with a mountain view behind like the photo (Probably only 6 good shots here. You can rent kimono for IDR 85k. And if you're not staying here you can pay to do photoshoot for cheaper price. Japanese Cave: I did not visit it. Breakfast: You can pick one of six dishes. I ate soto & rawon it was good but the portion was too little. They serve water, coffee, tea and watermelon. For oldies with knee/heart problem & disabled: too many steps, it is not...
Read moreThe hotel is located on mountain hill. The environment is very nice. Temperature arround 16-18°C during night and early morning.
There are some playground for kids, this make them love the hotel. There are 2 pools, 1 for baby (yes, they provide shallow baby pool) and the other one for kids and adult.
The hotel have some nice spot to take pictures or videos for your blog or vlog. "Little Kyoto" spot is one of them with Japanese environment.
The foods are very tasty at a reasonable price. Nasi Goreng (fried rice), Bakmi Goreng (Fried noodles), Pisang Goreng are all tasty. They also have sekoteng (ginger drink), hot chocolate, hot coffee to warm you up.
The room us quite comfortable. I was in the Junior Suite room that have bathtub. Too bad they don't use carpet in the room and they don't provide slippers either so you will feel the cold on your feet all the time.
The room is a little bit dirty when we came in but they clean it up in no time.
The restaurant, however, is not that you expect. No 'relaxing music', you will hear your breath in silence. A little while later, crowd of wall hammering came up, so noisy and uncomfortable because of renovation at some part of the hotel.
Overall, this place is really worth to stay. The price is good and the place...
