We were misled by the pictures on their website, which must be 20 years old, and the 4-star hotel rating. The entire building looks like it should be demolished and our room was a disgrace. We booked a deluxe suite but it was a dirty "dump", full of water damage, rotting concrete and wood. There was a missing bedpost, missing handles on the cupboards, a filthy lounge chair, dirty curtains, and dirty shower curtain. There were stains on the bedcover, and grimy marks on the walls. There was even some kind of small, pupating moths hanging on the walls and along the ceiling edge. The TV had terrible reception and our loungeroom air conditioner was not working. The balcony looked extremely unsafe, with corroded hand-rail and cracked and rotting concrete. the balcony furniture was an old, wrecked, wooden chair and small table. The loungeroom light was hanging crookedly and only two out of the three globes worked. The ceiling above the light fitting had a large area of bubbling and cracking paint, from water damage. There were piles of dust on the floors, on top of the wardrobe and behind the bed. The bathroom door was rotting, toilet was old and gross, and the sink area had some broken tiles. The disappointment didn't end there. The pool, which looked blue and clear in the website photos, was green and slightly cloudy. The many deck chairs in the website photos were not there; only dirty, half-wrecked plastic chairs. So we could not lie around the pool or swim in it. At breakfast, the rotating conveyor for the bread toaster was completely broken, with the element exposed. It did not turn at all and the exposed element was a danger to not only people's hands but also a fire risk. How can this place be rated 4-stars? It is a joke and a disgrace. The current prices are even more unbelievable. It should be 0 stars and should be shut down as uninhabitable. PS We took a lot of photos...
Read moreSTAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!!! Don’t know how this hotel could still get good reviews. Stayed this hotel around a week after the Sunda Strait Tsunami hit in December 2018 because I stayed at this hotel with my family some 20 years ago when it was only just built. This is one of the most expensive hotels in comparison to other hotels in the area. When I got in the room, I definitely could feel everything was very poorly maintained. From the aircond which was noisy and wasn’t cool leaving you uncomfortable with sleepless night. Thought it was going to get cooler overnight but it didn’t. Decided to stay in the room because we got a room on the 6th floor (which we pushed hard for) and were afraid that if we complained we would be moved to a lower floor, which won’t be good in the event of a follow up tsunami, which fortunately didn’t happen while we were there. The fridge was left unplugged with melted ice in the freezer tray. Even after I plugged the power cable back in, the fridge never got cool enough for me to chill my drinks. The beds and pillows were dirty and smelly, which was very unpleasant. The bathroom was dirty with plumbing problems. Plus there was no running hot water. If you’re looking for comfort, don’t go to this hotel. Try a much cheaper neighbouring hotel instead, so at least if the service isn’t as good as expected, you won’t feel ripped off like I did. I’m sure there are plenty of cheaper yet more decent hotels around that at least offer a better service and better quality product with more...
Read moreThe worst hotel i have ever been to.
direct booking to the hotel, and promised an executive room with viewsea room and on the top floor (8th or 9th floor). upon check in, by reservation I was given room in yudhistira tower on the 2nd floor, facing the sea, assured by her that the room is nicer than the room on the 8th or 9th floor evidently room was so bad, the hallway was dark, the room was smelly, the toilet only had 1 and the water did not refill, bathup broke and black, very unfit to be occupied. complained to the room manager and was finally given another room at the nakula tower, much better but just not seaview. in the new room there are still not ok, the shower is too small water and the balcony lights off (already asked to turn on, but no one came) very standard breakfast, does not reflect that this is a 5 star hotel. And the treatment of the restaurant manager is very unimpressive, it should be polite and friendly, but this is the opposite.
conclusion: this hotel does not deserve to be called a 5 star hotel, it needs improvement thank you for the help of the room manager (Pak Dedi) for providing a replacement room, although not as per my order who wanted a room facing the sea. need to re-train the reservation staff (Miss Putu), in order to provide uninhabitable rooms to the guests. need to re-training the restaurant manager (Mrs. ....) to be polite to the guests. I am very disappointed for all of the above, because I paid expensive for the room IDR 1.9 mio / night. (US...
