Villa Doretanh — Hotel in Kuta Selatan

The owner of this accomodation is the most heartless business owner I have ever encountered in my life. My father paid $7000 for a month long stay; approximately 7 weeks before his stay, he was involved in major trauma and has been in ICU in a critical condition ever since. The owner has absolutely refused any percentage of a refund and will not allow a change of date for later in the year, when he has hopefully recovered. Obviously he no longer has an income and this accomodation is withholding thousands of dollars from a family who is suffering immensely.

It’s honestly disgraceful at the way this has been handled. She has been difficult to reach and almost impossible to reason with, citing her cancellation policy being 60 days. It’s absolutely absurd that a man who is in a critical condition in hospital is having such an enormous sum of money withheld over the matter of a few days. She is totally unreasonable and refused to readvertise the dates and is now saying that there is no time to find another tenant for these dates, even though they are in peak Australian school holidays.

Will start with positive things. Swimming pool is amazing , it is really big, water is perfect. Rooms are not bad too, however there is lack of amenities, air conditioners are leaking, and kitchen is not fully furnished. Now about the bad stuff. Cleaners are really bad, you need to repeat for million times , so they would clean the rooms and the house. Cleaned the swimming pool once or twice during the whole week. And there is noice of building constantly. And the most disgusting thing, is that cleaner girls will steal stuff from you . Throughout the week items from fridge were stolen from us, and one day our expensive sandals were taken from us. When we ask them about sandals, they mysteriously found them in the far away bushes . So it’s not a secret that they took it . I left my ring in the room, girl who found it never answered my messages, so basically took my ring. NOT RECOMMENDED. very spacious, very beautifully decorated. service staff was really friendly and helpful, they clean the pool daily. we checked in around 10.30pm and the staff waited for us and welcomed us, with welcome drinks, fruits and cakes. before departing, they gave us complimentary coconuts. when we ordered grab and was still on the way back, they help to collect and paid first. when we were on the way to the airport for departure, the "owner" or "coordinator" (i don't know for sure) texted and checked if everything was okay, even asked if the traffic was ok since it's was the afternoon and traffic might be bad. even told us which gate we were supposed to head to.

only bad thing was it was really hot in the living room as there wasn't any air-conditioning, and the fan wasn't strong. the air-conditioning in the bedrooms was not strong also. the water heater was broken on the 2nd night and all the way until the last day, and it cannot be fixed. but service was...
