Words cannot describe how amazing the resort is. It’s Lombok’s hidden gem hotel that is close to the Bali speed boat port and Gili Islands.
The staff welcome you with open arms and each morning and night made our time more and more special with their personal approach and having every member of staff calling you by your name.
The room was lovely. We opted for a villa closest to the pool and sea where the room is large, cool, beautiful private pool and stunning stone roll bath top. The main pool has a wonderful infinity style to it where you can see the sea and even spent time in the water. I used the free canoes a few times as the view is spectacular looking into the mountains and volcano (sunrise is beyond special here).
The resort is very private, the food is excellent especially the Indonesian menu but caters for all. You can have massages by the beach hearing the sound of oceans. I would also say it’s more of a luxury sustainable hotel and conscious of the environment and its surroundings where you will also see see locals fish in front of you for their family’s catch.
The hotel offers a day snorkelling trip around then Gili Islands and feels very VIP and private as well as having the option to do a diving session too. Looking at the other tour boats it felt busy whereas the resort one had no more than 6 people at a time so it felt very personal.
We loved our stay here and have memories to...
Read moreWe spent 3 nights at Anema, as part of a Bali tour. The hotel is overall nice and quite modern, but it's super isolated, in an area that is dirt-poor. While driving to the hotel, you'll see a lot of garbage outdoors, malnourished animals and so on - quite desolating. The room we had was the one with the small private pool - but we ended up not using it, as it's super small and not very clean. The bigger pool in the common area was much better for us - very, very clean and the area, very quiet. The room was clean but you can get a lot of insects inside - and you have to get used to the tiny lizards, as you'll see them absolutely everywhere (except for the rooms, of course). This can be quite off-putting in the restaurant area. The staff was always nice and polite, always smiling and trying to be helpful. The restaurant was pricey (for decent-quality food, but not exquisite) and the menu, quite limited. As for the spa - we didn't try it, we just had a massage in the outdoor spa, which is honestly great. You can have a good massage on the beach and hear the waves 🥰 Overall the place is very quiet and relaxing - except for the few Muslim prayers that you can hear a few times a day in super loud speakers from the...
Read moreTerrible service. Starting from check in, my family and I booked the room for 2 p.m, but we still couldn't get into the room until 2.30. The breakfast menu was not appealing, very limited choice with poor taste. I booked the family room with my fam, there was no prohibition from the staff that the limit of the room is 4 people when we booked the room, and when we arrived suddenly the staff said that we could not bring children into our room (also my cousins are still under 13 years old), and they would charge us for Rp300,000/1 person. The staff's faces were really off and there was no smile or polite manner when they served us. I don't think this should be a 5 star resort, 'cause it feels like 2 star resort. One advice for the hotel management: If you're not ready to serve your guests like a 5 star resort, then don't try to start a hotel. There's a lot to complain about the service, when my family swam and ready to went for a shower the staff didn't came to our room to warn that they will turn off the water and instead TEXTING my aunt with no polite words at all. What a bad service. Not recommended until they fix the services. I give 1 star because the facility is good...
