I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the entire hotel staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay a truly unforgettable vacation.
We had the pleasure of staying in the beautiful Villa Pantai—and what a villa it was! We had the entire house to ourselves, complete with large bedrooms that offered plenty of space, a cozy living room, and a dining area with a stunning view of the garden, pool, and beach. Right in front of the villa was a spacious garden where I could play football with my kids and enjoy some beach tennis. The surroundings were so serene and intimate that we felt like we had the place all to ourselves.
Beyond the garden, there was a large, beautifully designed pool with plenty of sunbeds and relaxation areas. It was spacious enough for our entire family of five to lounge comfortably. And then there was the beach—absolutely stunning, not crowded, and perfect for snorkeling. Just 200 meters from the shore, there was a wonderful house reef where we saw turtles coming in to feed on seaweed in the afternoons.
On the beach, we had our own sunbeds and a dining table where the staff hosted a New Year’s Eve dinner we’ll never forget. They served fresh lobster for the adults and tenderloin steak for the kids. With candlelight and a lovely bottle of Chardonnay, it was a magical evening.
One of the highlights of our stay was that every meal—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—was served right in our villa. This meant we could relax in the pool until minutes before lunch, take a quick shower, and then enjoy a fantastic meal without leaving the comfort of our space.
The hotel also offers a variety of tours, including snorkeling and waterfall excursions. We opted for the waterfall tour, which was a fantastic experience. It was awe-inspiring to see the sheer power of the falls, and swimming in one of them was an unforgettable adventure.
There are also 5-6 other hotels and restaurants nearby, with around three of them within walking distance along the beach. Some are more upscale and “posh,” while others are more relaxed. However, we found ourselves enjoying the wonderful atmosphere and meals prepared by the villa staff most of the time.
A standout feature of our stay was the private WhatsApp chat the hotel provides. Through it, we could request anything we needed, whenever we wanted. We even treated ourselves to a couple of massages, which were incredibly relaxing after long days on the beach.
I can honestly say that our stay here was one of the best vacations we’ve ever had. Both my wife and our three kids (ages 20, 18, and 13) agree wholeheartedly. Thank you, dear Beach Villa Lombok staff, for creating a vacation we will...
Read moreOur 5 day holiday on Lombok began as all holidays do on day 1. Only for us to return to Bali by air the very next day. Read on.||Endured a “fast boat” journey from hell between Bali to Lombok. Some nationalities frankly are just unfit to travel (Russians and Indians). No manners, rude and absolutely no consideration whatsoever for others. If you are a seasoned traveller, you will know this is a sad but true fact.||Arrived at Lombok all the worse for the journey, then a short, pleasant car ride to the hotel. The manager, Adeline, met us in reception and made us feel very welcome. The accommodation was well presented, clean and comfortable. We had an excellent lunch, then a shower and headed for some well-deserved rest. ||Just drifting off to sleep when the 3pm Muslim call to prayer through the loud (and we mean window shattering loud) speakers of the mosque across the way began, followed soon after by the other mosque just down the road, and so on and so on, until it was cacophony of Allah Akbar and other Islamic guff being screamed across the Island.||Before you cry bigots, we are in our 60’s and have travelled extensively throughout the world including in the Middle East and accept and understand the customs of the Muslim religion when in a Muslim country as Indonesia predominately is. According to Adeline, the most offensive mosque with the loudest speakers has been asked on many occasions to lower the volume. With no success. The hotel has even offered to pay for the volume to be reduced again without success.||Lombok touted as a supposedly holiday destination for fun and relaxation makes no mention in any of the advertising that we have personally seen about the extent and volume of this call to pray ritual. Don’t forget this practice is 5 times a day, EVERY day starting at the wonderful hour of 4.30am. No thank you!||So, if you are looking to put Lombok on your travel destination list and you are not a devout Muslim, or if you are looking for rest and relaxation on your holiday, our strong recommendation is for you to think again and instead look to stay in one of the quieter areas of Hindu Bali where we can guarantee you will be much happier. ||||P&J...
Read moreWe spent 5 nights in a Villa here in July. The location is quite remote, with almost nothing within walking distance. The villa is good value for price, and they clearly put a lot of thought and effort into the set up. The fridge and pantry were stocked with a good variety of mini-bar items and they offered a variety of services to make up for the remote location. I really appreciated the water tank - this was the first time we stayed anywhere that had a free filtered water tank and it was amazing! There are few downsides to the place. The first is the mosquitoes. They are TRULY bad. We couldn't really enjoy the outdoor seating area because they were so bad. We purchased mosquito coils and placed them around the seating area, and that only marginally helped reduce the mosquitoes. We spent 4 weeks in Indonesia, including elsewhere on Lombok, and nowhere else had mosquitoes as bad as at Beach Villas Lombok. One day we had a local guide and driver pick us up for a tour and even they commented on how bad the mosquitoes were, and they are from Lombok! For this reason alone I wouldn't stay here again, since it really did hinder our ability to just relax and enjoy the beautiful space. The second was the restaurant. The food was pretty mediocre and also took forever to get. At one point they messaged us that because the villas were all booked us, we had to give them 2 hour notice for any dinner orders, which is a bit absurd. There aren't that many guests lol. We mostly ate at the hotel next door, which had decent food. The third, which isn't really the fault of the villa, was the call to prayer. It is LOUD and woke us up every morning at 4:45. Just something to consider, as we did stay in other places in Indonesia, and on Lombok, that didn't have call to prayer so loud that it woke us up. Really it's about the distance of the accommodation to the nearest mosque, and about the soundproofing of the room. Because the ceiling of the villa was basically thatch, there was no soundproofing at all and the boom of the call to prayer echoed in the room...
