An Unforgettable Escape in Paradise at Princess of Mentigi Bay

Our recent stay at Princess of Mentigi Bay was an absolutely unforgettable escape, truly a slice of paradise! From the moment we arrived, we were utterly blown away by the spectacular panoramic views of the sea and the mesmerizing sunset, with the Gili Islands and even the local pearl farms beautifully laid out before us. The location is simply superb, perched gracefully on the hillside overlooking the bay, offering a serene and breathtaking backdrop to every moment.

What truly made our visit exceptional were our fantastic hosts: Kipli, Ken, and Nopi. Their warmth, attentiveness, and genuine kindness transformed our stay into a truly memorable experience. Kipli, in particular, was a super host, remembering all our names and always being incredibly helpful, even assisting us with some of our travel plans. We enjoyed wonderful chats with both Kipli and Nopi, who were super hospitable and made us feel instantly at home. This level of personalized care and friendliness was felt throughout our time there, and it's because of them that we would love to return to the Princess of Mentigi Bay one day.

The accommodations themselves are pristine; we found the rooms to be very clean and they exuded a luxurious feel, providing a comfortable and tranquil haven. Each morning, a delicious breakfast set us up perfectly for the day. We absolutely adored the pool, which offers the same incredible views, and the restaurant staff were equally wonderful.

It's worth noting that while the resort's elevated and peaceful setting ensures its remarkable views and quiet ambiance, it's not easily accessible on foot, meaning you'll need a driver or your own mode of transport. However, this minor consideration is swiftly forgotten once you're immersed in the unparalleled comfort and vistas. For a seamless arrival, we highly recommend asking the hotel to arrange a taxi for you, as this ensures a fair fare and a stress-free journey from the port. They were also incredibly helpful in arranging taxis for our travels around Lombok and for our trips to the beautiful Gili Islands.

This place is absolutely gorgeous on top of a cliff with an amazing view of the gili islands and a pearl farm. It is super quiet and peaceful and there is not much to do around there on foot (can't walk to the beach safely). They can help get you a taxi though. I found the rooms very clean and they felt luxurious . There was a problem with my air con upon check in, but they were very receptive and moved me to a beautiful room with aircon that worked . If you have a ton of heavy luggage it will not be easy to get to and you will have to do lots of stairs. It was hard to get to and even my taxi driver got lost. I absolutely loved the pool and the restaurant the guys working at this resort. They were so wonderful and helped me with some travel plans too. This is pretty far from the airport so I would arrange your own transportation there ahead of time- my flight was delayed and they charged me full price for the "shuttle". There are not enough words to say how amazing this place is. From the most beautiful room with kingsize beds (3 if needed), the views from our balcony across to the Gilies are out of this world. The owners, Joe and Vivien, treated us as if we were family members. So friendly, so hospitable, nothing was too much trouble. The wonderful staff speak English and were just waiting on our every need or desire. So much food for breakfast that neither hubby nor I could eat it all. Lovely fresh fruit, cakes, fried rice, and more and more and more. The infinity pool drew us every day to enjoy the lovely cool water as we gazed out across the sea to the islands. Magnificent resort. While I don't think the room had a safe, we felt that the staff were totally honest and never worried about locking anything during our stay.
