Due to the high room rates, I will review my 2-day stay in more detail and start with the negatives: The employees are judgy, especially the securities and the receptionist. I happened to have been riding my motorbike for quite a while so I looked untidy, I was stopped from entering on the groundfloor just because my helmet? The next day when I wanted to ask for the free parking code, the receptionist gave it to me rudely without greeting or smiling. The parking floor is very slippery and not designed for 2-wheeled vehicles. The TV is very large but cannot access Netflix/Internet and all TV channels were broken on the second day (maybe because of the heavy rain).

Neutral or neutralized things: The breakfast is very diverse and complete but bland on the first day, however strangely quite tasty on the second day even though the menu is almost the same. I booked a corner city view high floor room, but they only given the 8th floor out of 17 floors, so a bit disappointing. Then, because it says "corner" and more expensive rates, I honestly thought there would be windows on 2 sides or wider space, but it turned out to be only 1 side and the room size is the same. But I admit, the view is wonderful. The elevator is very fast, but with very bad news for those who get motion sickness easily.

Positive things: Very fast complaint response, less than 5 minutes. Like amy TV complaint, the officer came immediately. Complaints about the restaurant toilet being a bit dirty, the officer was immediately called. Well done. The best room quality. Fast WiFi, Calm Atmosphere even though it is close to the road, and the thing that distinguishes this hotels from others is the room brightness, so bright. Very good for work or staycations. The location is in accordance with the main advantages offered, really located in the middle of the city.

Chose this hotel based on reviews as the best (and most expensive) in Makassar but left underwhelmed. Compared to other stays in Sulawesi (e.g., Sheraton Manado, Santai Toraja), it didn’t meet expectations.

Positives: Central location, modern hotel Excellent and attentive breakfast team Direct booking discount Early check-in granted—great service

Needs Improvement: Air Conditioning: 21°C was freezing, and adjusting it was unclear. Staff and technicians attempted to fix it but only resolved the issue the next day. Temperature control should be taken more seriously. Noise Isolation: My room had a connecting door, making my neighbor’s conversations and TV disturbingly clear—not acceptable in a new hotel. Service & System Use: Staff relied too much on the online system, missing opportunities for guest interaction. More focus on personal service is needed. Amenities: No body lotion in the room, no pool towels by the pool. Communication: Staff should have at least basic English skills or use Google Translate effectively.

Possible Improvement: Rethink access to the pool through the hotel lobby.
