Lion Hotel & Plaza Manado — Hotel in Manado

Locationwise, this is a very cool place. Many street food around. And the view from my room which faces sea and mountain? So calming and beautiful! And in just 2 minutes walk, you can get to a supermarket in a shopping plaza. So cool! The room itself is not special. They place the aircon at the right place, I'd say. Desk and chair are provided at the right place, so that you can use it comfortably. But the electricity outlet is far from bedside. The bathroom is rather disaster. First time I enter, everything looks nice to me. I can put my bathroom necessity comfortably, toothbrush and the like. But when I open the closet's lid, they all fell off. The shower is rusty and mouldy. They provide shampoo and liquid soap in containers, but nothing indicates which is which. So when you bathe, I'd suggest you pray to your God that you get the right thing. The worst thing about the bathroom is the floor. The drain is higher than the floor, so it always flooded with water. And thus the floor become slippery. I will not stay in this hotel with children and elderly. The breakfast is standard, but quite many options. All in all, will I come back here again? I don't...

First room had cockroaches, AC not working well, bathroom sink was draining extremely slow, so we asked for a new room & they gave us/upgraded us to a new room(which was pleasantly big & spacious) but the bathroom drain in that one was also very clogged & the shower didn’t work(no water would come out); so called front desk & they sent staff to unclog the bathroom drain with toilet plunger(they unfortunately didn’t remove our stuff on bathroom countertop which the guy using the toilet plunger splashed water on our things & when the dirty shower(dirty & old faucet, handles, partially clogged shower head, etc.) actually worked, there was no warm water(a common problem at hotels in Indonesia to be fair). ||Stained bedsheets, walls coming apart & moldy, ||Very slow drainage for shower ||Poor internet connection ||Only pro is cheap price to stay at(although I wouldn’t recommend) &...

I have to say the service was fantastic. But the hotel was not. The room was smelly, wall papers were moulded and in a very old and dirty condition. There are multiple staines in the shower, no hand soap, dirty shower gel container. You know what is the worst??? The dirty smelly rotten beddings. Not just there are stains on the bed sheets plus pillow case, even the 'clean' ones I asked them to change had stains. I can feel the warmth on the beddings, that means they are freshly washed. They are just too old to maintain pure white. So I gave up. The lobby's toilets were a disaster as well. Toilets seats are completely clean, in the other hand, the floor and the doors are not. To my horror, when I tried to shut the door, the door was STICKY!!! OMG! STICKY!!! When I turn on the tap, water went everywhere, on my arms and face... But I have to say thanks to the friendly...
