Hotel Platinum — Hotel in Palopo

The only good thing about this hotel is their breakfast (it’s not that complete but, okay). The hotel price is quite expensive, compared to their rival hotel in Palopo. They even charged additional 10% tax which not included in the price upfront! Just be very clear and careful about this before you checked in.

The hotel staffs service is so-so, the breakfast staffs was noisy, they was gossiping and laughing most of the time.

The room however, one of the worst so far. The AC was damn hot, I already set the AC to 16°C (which is the coolest), but still. I asked for room change, they just gave me another room key for me to check, but it was just the same.

The room carpet is old and rusty. Perhaps they rarely vacuumed it? It’s not so hygiene. The TV also pretty old with limited channel options. Don’t expect for a hanger, water boiler, complimentary tea and coffee, hotel sandals. It’s just bad hospitality for 400K room!

The bathroom had water heater which is good, but the shampoo and soap was just nope, just bring your own for the best.

I hope they can improve their service, but sadly I’m not going to recommend this hotel in my future...

This is such a substandard place, I was taken aback.|My office booked it as one night accommodation in a place that admittedly doesn’t have many options. The room had a leak from the ceiling in the bathroom, internet connection was not available in the room, but only in the lobby, the rooms are not very clean (they offered another room as replacement for the one with the leak, and that one had a bathroom sink full of dirty, brownish water sitting there), and the whole place is not maintained. The look of the libby is deceiving, rooms are very dated and in need of maintenance. It’s beyond purpose to comment on the ingeniousness of the design - you can’t turn of the light without getting out of bed for example. It is so high up on the wall, you wonder how shorter...

I've booked thru agoda with agreed price 170k. When i arrived at hotel, the hotel said they have no partnership with agoda, only with reddoors. I've checked on reddoors, and shown that no room available. But in fact, they still has plenty of room. Today room rate is 450k. My booking is recorded, but if i want to stay, i need to pay the price difference or they will refer me to other hotel with same rate as my early payment. 300k is not much, but i'm really disappointed by the hotel response.

So i choose losing my 170k and move to other hotel.
