Kelapa Villa Mambal — Hotel in Pulau Bali

I write this review honestly from expecting in the future. I stay around more than 200 accommodations per every year, so I promise this review is not including emotional, only real matters.

First, I reserved this villa because new open in September in 2024, but actually not new open just reform, so some facilities are not new and color of white wall is not clean.

The serious problem as this accommodation are the following two. 1)terrible approach Road like footpath from car road to the villa is narrow, unevenness, unpaved. So doesn’t let not only large car, beautiful car pass. Specially, the timing we stayed is rainy season, if the rain falls, even people can’t walk through.

2)lack of privacy we could enjoy pool only 3days during two weeks because there are always several worker due to construction of exterior or roof.

Assignments except for the above, there are the following matters.

〈Not completion(under construction)〉 ・Fallen the board with nails from roof suddenly (reference the photo) ・Scattered concrete, workers goods, rubbish in front of entrance (reference the photo) ・There are workers on the roof or entrance outside all day

〈Facility and equipment〉 ・The max degree of Hot water of bath room is only 35 or 36, so when taking bath out, we are cold(we told to villa staff, but no improvement) ・There was a water outage(during that time, toilets,showers,washbasin couldn’t be used) ・Bathroom faucet is broken (we told to villa staff, but no improvement) ・No coffee cup, only two glass(not clear,the shapes are different, reference the photo) ・Dishes are only large

〈Insects〉 ・Though cleaning is everyday, there are many feathered insects and aunts, specially bathroom. ・There are many flies and centipedes, specially in the living space in a recessed area, so we didn’t enter this area.

〈Breakfast〉 ・Breakfast is only one bread and milk per person (reference the photo) ・We told them to take breakfast at 9:00, but sometime was the past 10:30 occasionally 8:20.

〈Cleaning〉 ・We told them to clean at 9:00 as well the breakfast, but occasionally the past 10:30, so we are difficult to plan go out before noon. ・Exchange sheets was supposed to be once every 3 days, after all only one time during two weeks.

〈noise〉 ・There is a constant noise from the water heater or something(couldn’t sleep in the one bedroom near the noise) ・There seems some animals living in the roof, there are sounds of moving or something dropping(Both of two bedrooms) ・There is a constant noise of day workers

Opposite these issues, the good points are the follows ・staff(Women, friendly, quick response) ・pool(more clean among villa in Bali I stayed) ・Bed(comfortable to sleep on) ・internet(fast, 100MB) ・the chirps of insects in the night(healing) ・round window(rice fields and mountain view) ・welcome drink and fruits(reference the photo) ・everyday cleaning

Select Facilities is good but equipment(bath amenities or tableware) is poor.

In the chance of this review, I hope that this villa will change more great villa in the several months.

The place is very dirty and has lots of flies and ants the first day we arrived (I forgot to take pictures). The roof and bathroom in one bedroom leaked during heavy rain, we informed the housekeeping to inform the owner, but the owner never arranged somebody to fix them. We saw rats, big rats. Saw a a rat in the evening near the stove. When you open the fridge to take something, you could smell rat poops. You can see from the pictures attached, there were 2 rats behind the fridge. I had to rewash everything before I used the plates and utensils in case the rats, flies and ants were on them. My husband was reading in one of the bedroom and suddenly saw a rat passing by him inside the bedroom and ran through the gap on the door (he didn't have time to take picture). We always closed the bedroom doors to prevent bugs going inside. The rat inside the bedroom is the last straw. We are supposed to stay for 5 nights, we checked out after 3 nights. I have stayed at many places, but this one is the most terrible place. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE or you will regret it! If there was a zero star I would have given 0 AVOID This place is disgusting it is dirty, all the crockery was filthy and the place is remote . unsafe and has rats , even rats swimming in the pool which is a health hazard and unhygienic ( photos and videos will be posted on google) I contracted the host to ask for help and gave the owner my concern and all they had to say was to request I put the key back in the safe ready for the next guest , and to leave if I want ( although I had paid already) This should be resolved before anyone swims or sleeps in this place , however they did not Aw knowledge any health or safety concerns.
